History tells one interesting feature that Lambayong is the only place in Sultan Kudarat that changed her name five times.
This indicates, according to historians, the desire of Lambayongnons to constantly search for her real identity.
Lambayong became a municipality on November 22, 1973.
Home to 80,000 Lambayongnons, the municipality has a total land area of 22,842 hectares. The people are in good hands of their political leaders.
