- We leave a sun-drenched Schleching this morning, and head to the awesome Grossglockner in Austria, before dropping down to our stop for the night at Lake Bled in Slovenia.

That devastation is more common than people think, I did Austria through Slovenia and down to L Garda about 10 yrs ago and had sever weather. Came across wrecked villages where the lodges lake side had just slipped into the lake, whole small villages totally smashed ... terrible but they just rebuild it seems. Communities world wide including the UK pull together when needed (Carlise and some Devon floods etc) ... people come together when needed. Great vid's you do, Euro tours are great ... did Spain last year and going to do Croatia this year so watching yours gets me really looking forward to it .... cheers!

I've lived through floods before. I've had to discard the contents of my basement twice. It is an activity you'll never forget no matter how hard you try. Not to mention all the losses.

weather in central and southeaster Europe has been screwed-up for the last 3-4 years. in 2012 it was incredibly hot. temperatures hit 40C in many places for days and days.
Summer of 2014 was the rainiest in decades with major flooding. So far in 2015, rain has returned - major flooding again, and the summer is not even here yet.
Totally screwed-up.

come on rich, yes you do get people of UK come together in times of crisis look at ww11 and a load of bad bombing incidents

I had the same thought when I was watching the USA tour videos. On several occasions, someone did or said something helpful, and Rich's comment was 'that wouldn't happen in the UK'. How do you know that, Rich? Have you been to every part of the UK when crisis has hit? I think you'll find that the British have a reputation for standing together when things get tough, whether it's a local community, or the nation as a whole.
I don't know where you got this negative view of British people, Rich, but if you don't stop flaunting it in our faces on these videos you risk losing viewers because some of us find it somewhat objectionable.
