I left and never looked back. 4 years later after healing and finding myself, I found a man who genuinely loves and adores the ground I walk on. Today, 4years into finding him, I am married and have a baby on the way. It is by grace that I did not get infected with HIV. Kudos to the cast and team, this really hit home in a big way. Movie producers and script writers please sometimes you need to understand not every movie should have an ending where ML and FL end up together.. Sometimes just change the ending.. This type of ending makes the women who go through this in reality lose the courage to let go.. Not to every man changes.. Let them see that they can also let go, sometimes love isn't everything in the face of this kind of marriage or relationship... You need to let go when you're treated like trash... You can stand up for yourself without having someone look down on you just because he pays your bills.. Think about it what if he brings you infections? You deserve love and happiness... Don't fight for a man who can never fight for you...
The ending surprised me... I really thought Salome was seeing his friend (after she left David) bcuz his friend felt like she didn't deserve to be treated this way and also stated in the beginning of the movie that Salome is a beautiful woman. Not only that, she found out that David call her a "man" to his friend. How could she have known that?? But even though David's friend told her.... obviously the movie did not end up that way.
From what I saw, they really tried to incorporate the idea of women not trying to fight for ones love and affection. That sometimes we need to give them space and time to figure what they want whether it's you or another person. Basically despite the end they really tried to teach women like me about our self respect, self esteem and self awareness.
I have a salome and I thank GOD I realized and decide to love her regardless of anything, her dress code, education or whatever. My fear now is not to loose her. She is so alike to this woman in this movie, I wish I can post her. I am very proud of her, I want the world to see her. My mother said to me; “Do not take advantage of her, because you are at the upper hand now, rich and everything but adore her and enjoy every moment of her being village-like because you are going to miss that village girl when she becomes aware of the world around her”. Just hate how all these movies end. It's hard to find a movie that teaches women how to learn to move on and live a new life away from there abusers. All these just indicate the real story of how women suffer in Africa, how we are being abused by men, and how they go free every time they inflict pain on a woman. Well, I have been in a 7 years abusive relationship and thank God I found the strength to leave despite all the challenges from family and society, I chose me and my child over everyone's opinion. The moment she said "I have lost confidence in myself that I have to look like someone else to impress you" it hit me deep in my soul. Wow! When I say that Sarian Martin excels and is showcasing her acting skills more and more! She was absolutely phenomenal in this film and I’m so glad Frederick Leonard chose her for this role! Each moment was intense. Although I was laughing in the beginning, my heart began to ache while I watched the maltreatment and disrespect … to think women are treated this way and accept it. To think men have the audacity to treat a woman this way and another woman can look down upon another woman. The endurance of some for their reasons… this was an amazing film. Enjoyed the roller coaster of emotions I felt. Hats off to my queen Sarian! ❤❤❤❤❤

What a beautiful movie. Bravo to all the cast. There are so many women out there looking for a weak man to manipulate. Men should learn how to see through an opportunist woman. Again, Salome was given so many chances to change her style and ways but she never did. What made her change her dressing at the end of this movie? The lesson here should be that women should always look good for themselves and for their partners. Salome is a wife material yes but she was missing the partner material. While I understand your point, I don't see this as the lesson to learn from this movie. Honestly, the lesson was lost at the end when Salome "changed" to stay with a man who could not accept her as she is. He found her dressing that way before they were together, if she was not his style, he should have stayed away.

After seeing the whole thing, I don’t know whether to blame David or Salome for the near collapse of their relationship. He really loved her but he wanted only one thing. He wanted her to dress in a certain fashion, she didn’t. But when she left him, she started dressing that way. I think the lesson here is - to learn to compromise a little bit more for the significant other. Truly loving someone is also accepting the imperfections of that person.🙏🏽

Wow! When I say that Sarian Martin excels and is showcasing her acting skills more and more! She was absolutely phenomenal in this film and I’m so glad Frederick Leonard chose her for this role! Each moment was intense. Although I was laughing in the beginning, my heart began to ache while I watched the maltreatment and disrespect … to think women are treated this way and accept it. To think men have the audacity to treat a woman this way and another woman can look down upon another woman. The endurance of some for their reasons… this was an amazing film. After seeing the whole thing, I don’t know whether to blame David or Salome for the near collapse of their relationship. He really loved her but he wanted only one thing. He wanted her to dress in a certain fashion, she didn’t. But when she left him, she started dressing that way.
I think the lesson here is - to learn to compromise a little bit more for the significant other. Truly loving someone is also accepting the imperfections of that person.🙏🏽
