The axe is strong but imo the fact that it requires 65 attack makes it fine. If it was 60 attack it would need a nerf since it’s stronger than the barrelchest anchor and colossal blade and would invalidate those. But on most builds 65 attack is 2 extra combat levels compared to 60, and then 75 attack is another 2 combat levels.. so if anything this opens up a bit of room for some interesting niche account builds in the pure bracket. 65 attack 20 defence would be cool for example (probably wouldn’t be that good though).
ive tried to compromise with 65 attack but same story as with 70 attack weapons, they fun and op but u might as well bump up to 75 and get all the unlocks, or stay 60. the middle ground is weird and only ever worth it if you messed up questing a 60 att acc and dont want 75. 60 att 20 def is good but pushing 87 cb when max and i dont see 89 cb being good even with max bh sets (same bracket as 60 att voider , max 50 zerk, max. pure)…
@@alyssaangel1094 Yeah I agree. When you have so many game-changing unlocks at 60 and 75, anything in between is too niche to be worth the extra combat levels so you might as well either stay 60 or go 75.
I don't think it needs nerfed. I can hit 46 with leaf blade axe off task. 😊 it's a good weapon

Id argue its not op, compared to a dds, d mace spec, abby dagger its not as much dps - its a 5 tick. What makes it good is your skill not the weapon itself

What do you think of the axe? I'm a 60att pure thinking of going to 65 for the axe (only gives me +1 cb lvl)
I personally wouldn’t recommend the 65 att just for one weapon. I would stay 60 att or go for 75 if you want the powerful weapons

The axe has a higher strength boost than the aby dagger.

@@nishftw It’s going to be 1-3 more damage per hitsplat. Lower hitting weapons like a dds will get +1 per hitsplat, gmaul may get +2 per hitsplat, and AGS will likely get +3
Claws may get as high as +4 depending on if the new max hit (first hitsplat) is an even or odd number (more max hit increase if it’s an even number, just from the way the four hit splats work together)
Also makes you more difficult to smite! Will be +1 combat level though. Seems really worth it to me

I'm making a 60 attk piety build atm and genuinely considering the extra 5 attk levels for this
not worth it tbh, ull be 104 with 75 def 60 att and near max 75 attack meds r same cb if you go 65. ive tried to work out 65 and ends up being too close to 75 to be worth the middle ground. only way its worth it is if you messed up and got 61/62 attack already.
im thinking the same i have maxed 60 atk med, if they nerf the voidwanker and ancient godsword i might go 65, it seems like it pairs well with claw with minimal risk
