When this came out it was so interesting… it is my first and favorite Smiths album. Still searching for one here in Tokyo with an obi but no luck so far. Excellent production, Marr was years ahead of his time and it’s incredible how the Smiths are revered in the Latino community. Saw them play in 86 and to this day, one of my most memorable concerts… Morrisey even walked off stage before the concert was finished and ended the gig early leaving the rest of the band alone… aah the eighties!
I'm a fan of The Tear Drop Explodes and didn't even know Troy Tate was the guitarist, thanks! I guess I should hang my head in shame and not call myself a fan! Great review and great job at informing people of the Smiths history.
