- I took off on the Herald Classic Scrambler 125cc motorbike to Wales from Liverpool for a couple days to wild camp in a dense forest. I'll take you on a journey with aspects of being a learner rider and an amateur camper. This is my second attempt at camping in general and second ride away from home. Come join me for a bit of fun and experience what it was like to solo it in the forest alone overnight.

Cant beat an adventure out on the bike with the camping gear onboard, id highly recommend Rhayader elan valley, the dams and views are incredible, very nice wild camping spots off the road near the river streams aswell.

Genuinely enjoyed this video my dude, actually considering doing this myself - if you have any suggestions for places to camp for a beginner, somewhere secluded where you can reasonably be confident that no one is going to see your fire, im all ears!

Really enjoying being inboard with you as your journey gains momentum. Liked the onboard your bike scenes at the beginning of the video as it allows for us to really feel part of the journey hope you keep that as part of your videos going forward. Your setup looked fantastic, really cozy and the tarp with the real fire made such a difference finishing it off nicely. There was a great shot during the night filming where the moon was sitting in the top left hand corner of the shot and it looked amazing. Can’t wait to watch your next video 👍💜🙏😎♿️

👍🇦🇺 cotton wool coated in vassalene makes fire lighting very easy with your blankets try and stick to natural fibres like a wool blanket if it gets wet it will still keep you warm …army surplus store have them great vids mates kind regards Phillip 👍🇦🇺

So I'd be interested in hearing the different reasons why moto camping is gaining popularity which would include the obvious like .. man and machine.
.. and the solitude and adventure... and getting away from the couch and television on the weekends but, there are many other reasons as well. Your choice of bike is very interesting and in a effort to avoid front loading any prejudices against any make or model or style of motorcycle, each if us has our own reason for what we ride, don't we?
But clearly you are serious about being alone and enjoy the solitude of riding and camping alone. Many of us share the same pleasure of escaping into a lonely place where we can take a breath and take a look around at the beauty of nature and at the same time perhaps look inward at who we are and why we are comfortable without a brass band.

Hey thanks for commenting! I did a lot of research into the bike I was looking for. Before these videos I had never ridden before. It mainly came down to something that would be okay on the road but also semi decent off road. I didn't go for a trail type bike mainly because if you've noticed I didn't want to camp with fluorescent colours. But the seat was slightly longer on this one and the wheel setup seemed a decent choice with high bars too.
But you are right sometimes a bit if alone to e is needed in nature. Keeping the setup basic and just enjoying what's around plus the feeling of doing it all on bare basics does it for me ☺️☺️ once again thanks for the kind words 👍
Just had a though about food. Could take tinned food...like chilli or stew or sausage and beans...Just open the top and cook it in the tin....might save on pot's, plates etc. Like to get a 125 and get out. Lost my partner to cancer in 2017 and life's sucked since. On me own no friends or family for an outlet. So getting a scooter and getting out might do me the world of good. Just I lack confidence as since my mental state has taken a real knock.
Just ease into it mate, step by step then all of a sudden you'll be right and ready for a mini adventure. Should be decent weather soon too. So the best time to start is now! All the best bud 👍
@@halfwaybetween Thank You for your words...The lack of cofidence means I procrastinate alot....And I hate myself for it..and I just can't seem to get going...I have a little pick me up of sorts..in way of music. A Japanese all female rock band..Don't understand the lingo...but I don't need to, they have made me smile for the first time in ages.....I am hoping they will come to the UK, but not likely to till next year at the earliest. As long as the world doesn't got to s*** before then. I have a Walter Mitty dream of heading to Japan to see them...But thats not gonna happen anytime soon. Have become very interested in Japan since losing my partner...There are some Japan scooter adventure videos on YT..And Motobike ones... It's a beautiful country..and a scooter trip around it would be magical. ...Plus there are many Second-hand scooter dealers with hundreds of scooters and m-bikes for sale...Plenty of classic C90's etc....Some videos on YT of someone wandering around one of these places...the amount of bikes is crazy!....I expect pretty cheap also...Buy one..sort it out if needed..and off on an adventure!...Oh well...can dream...Thanks Again.
