Here, for instance, it can be desperate determination, boiling fury, or a balding thrity-something man being scared SHITLESS of a giant floating pizza that threatens to make his restaurant go boom.
Well, not only is pizzaface coming to obliterate him, but he's a war veteran, so this level is absolute hell for him. Now imagine not just forcing him to do a second lap, but then a third lap in his PTSD hellscape.
Bro REALLY just did P-Rank, 3 laps, outran Pizza Face while on a strict timer on what is considered to be one of the games hardest levels, ESPECIALLY in this circumstance in just a single run? Bravo to you my friend 👏👏👏
I feel like this right here is an expression of pure mastery of a game. You can see the perfection of Peppino's moveset and a comprehensive understanding of the level geometry. Every move made is calculated within pixel perfect tolerances on the 3rd lap, just barely escaping sure death through both dodging Pizzaface and eeking out the level exit with 10 seconds to spare on the hardest stage of the game. Truly, a work of art.
I wish pizza face had some kind of different pathing mechanism that made it so stopping and starting isn't the optimal strategy to dodge him when you go through bends. Those moments where you have to stop seem like you gotta learn em through trial and error.
You are completely correct on that. I wish it was still all about speed there, instead of having to stall for the instakill guy to catch up. It happens so many times in the last 30 seconds of a 7 minute level.
@@AquaSG. maybe 50-100% speed increase, but follows the confines of the stage? Possibly even reactive speed like the old fake peppino chase, but maybe that's too hard
@@AquaSG. I believe that would require custom paths for Pizzaface to use that after getting close enough to Peppino would result in his normal path. Currently Pizzaface waits I believe a full second before following the most direct route to Peppino.
The speed and precision clearly required here Between inputs, timeframes, hitboxes... Some parts I can't even tell if it was a matter of nerves resulting in mistakes or if they had genuine manipulation purposes And all things considered, 10 seconds spared? Actually still a lot of time to work with if there _were_ a few mistakes in there
You know, what’s worse when pizzaface is chasing you in this level? That the timer is still there. So, if you don’t get to lap 3 fast enough, the timer’s gonna kill you before pizzaface does.

Everytime I watch this level, the music, the action, the speed of peppino all come together and it’s beautiful. It’s like watching and action movie . God this game was mastered for speed
So many tiny optimizations, like blasting the timer computer in Gerome's room with the shotgun instead of grabbing it in Lap 2/3. I thought getting to Lap 3 on this level at all was a great accomplishment, but they just keep getting better
I found out that the jump at 6:52 is easier to do by not breaking the cheese block cause you can use it to jump to the upper left wall while mach running. Its also very useful to enter the secret room at 7:13 to use the couple of seconds of pizzaface not moving when you reenter de room.

When I do try to do war for my first attempt on because you have to beat it first try to get the war costume I think I’m just gonna book it for the exit ignore all the toppings all the secrets just dash to the exit then do the level again just for the toppings.
i like how nearly every level (except for one wasteyard section) intentional or not, still allows you to complete the entirety of pizza time while pizzaface is chasing you, allowing you to get that sweet victory if you pull it off and escape pizzaface
glad you weren't able to make the deal with me, cause my computer can BARELY even load in the Imposter v4 songs. like seriously, if you even try to make me load in the mod and play the final song of the green imposter's week, then my computer just has a mental breakdown trying to load it in.
Lap 3 in other levels can be a bit stressful but in the WAR level? You have to run and make sure to save up as much time as you can, clear obstacles and pray for God that you don’t make any mistakes once Pizza Head chases you.
The funny thing is, the fact most pizza tower players, when P ranking war, they usually ditch the rocket from the start, because their legs are faster Credit is a different person, since I forgor their name

Fun fact: you go into mach 3 faster in WAR and while pizzaface is chasing you, so you basically gain mach 3 instantly while in lap 3 in WAR
