      +redcae1911 I prefer the skeletonisation, it adds incredible depth. The nicest looking one is the ETA using Hublot Classic Fusion Aero - that's my favourite hublot skeletonisation

      +V Cccc I do enjoy the very wearable Classic Fusion family quite a bit. The Vitrail models with the métiers d'art stained glass panels are stunning pieces that deeply affected my assessment of Hublot. The Classic Fusion Tourbillon Vitrail Ceramic Blue is a standout by any standard.

    Do the 2005 big bangs use ETA movement ?

    • @richardramirez2557
      @richardramirez2557 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +marko645 Yea. Hublot Unico watches were generally sold from 2013, think the movement was introduced earlier but Unico movement watches were around from then, I could be corrected here. Even now, majority of current Hublot models are still ETA powered. The Unico movement can be recognised by a little circular gear under where the watch hands are mounted. Pretty sure all 3 of these are ETA hublots

      +V Cccc thanks I was in two minds about purchasing but I don't think I will now.

      +marko645 Marko, I'll be honest with you... I have an ETA Hublot and a Unico one. The ETA movement is a better watch. If you look at my channel, you will see a state of the Unico I got new - essentially messed up movement. This would never happen with an ETA movement. I personally worry about the quality of the Unico movements. Second, the Unico movement is LOUD. It's got an immense rotor, you can hear and feel it. The ETA Hublot is smooth as butter. Thirdly, the ETA Hublot will be serviceable easily. The Unicos have to be sent to Switzerland where your watch disappears for 8-10 weeks. If I had my purchase over, I'd buy the Classic Aero Fusion version of the Unico I have. In-house movements, especially these new ones, are a risky proposition. These Hublots don't have the same, cheap ETA movements that cheap watches (Oris etc) do, they use chrono grade with specialised modules. Lots of horoligically top end watches use generic/non-inhouse watch engines with custom complex modules added.

      +marko645 ETA shouldn't be underestimated. These are tough, precise, and time-tested movements. As V Cccc notes, dependability is integral to the notion of luxury. Many "revolutionary" in-house efforts from the Unico to F.P. Journe's Centigraphe rolled out of the gate and into a mountain of mechanical mayhem. At least a quarter of the Harry Winston Opus models didn't ship on time (or at all) because the Sci-Fi movements couldn't be made functional and reliable outside of the lab. Finally, there are increasing numbers of ETA clones being sold in lieu of the real thing as the Swatch phase-out approaches, and some of those surrogates are so poorly assembled that jewels are falling out, wheels cannot be made to align, and repairs are being conducted at the client factories simply to make the movements serviceable. The ETA movements are like Chevy smallblock V8s, common and taken for granted... but they're solid, reliable, and can be hot-rodded to the Nth degree (consider the IWC Destriero Scafusia or the Ref. 3752 the ultimate examples of this).
