What is up everybody! Many of you told me that you were having issues using the AEUX plugin that allows you to easily import your Figma Designs in After Effects. After quite some time, here is an updated version of the tutorial that works in 2024 for any of your Web or UI UX Designs!
This plugin was a game changer for my design process and it still saves me so much time when I have to create detailed prototypes for my clients for any web design project. Hopefully this figma plugin can also save you so much time! Let me know!

Insightful tutorial Man, this would be a lifesaver. No need to redesign the entire design in After Effects, with just a click and it done, everything has been imported into after effects.
I'm quite familiar with AEUX and i do use it for my projects but if i want to update to the latest version, do i yave to delete the current one i have?.
And I'm anticipating the new tutorial you mentioned, i know it would be 🔥.

To install the new version yes, you would need to reinstall the plugin. Unfortunately there isn’t another way yet! Thank you for watching!!

I have a love/hate relationship with AEUX, some projects its so hard to make it work, it wont export, its amazing when it works
For those getting Failed to connect error in Figma try checking the box "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" in AE preferences under scripting & expressions
Still getting failed. Any other ideas?

Do you have a solution for the issue when it says "Failed to connect to AE" in the AEUX plugin? Apparently the plugin seems a bit buggy.
1. What version of AE do you have?
2. Have you tried with a simple frame with some text? If so, does it have the same problem?
@@thematteovalentino I use the latest version of AE. Followed your recommendation to try it with a simple frame and somehow today it works. I didn't really change anything, but thanks for the video and response dude!

Thanks for sharing bro, but i use mac m1 max and when i try to export from figma, it just keeps loading but nothing happens it doesn't export to after effects. what should i do?
I have the m1 pro and I haven’t had any problems. Try to reinstall the plugin and see if that works, otherwise contact me on IG that we try to solve it!

Looks like the site is no longer live. I also get a "Failed to connect to AE" inside the Figma plugin.
Try this: On your Mac, go to System Preferences.
Navigate to Security & Privacy.
Under the Privacy tab, select Full Disk Access.
Add permissions for anything named ZXP or aescrips.
Restart your system and try using AEUX again
