DICE took us to an era that no other triple-A developer dared to explore, exactly 100 years after the actual war. It also coincided with The Great War documentary, which was quite coold. I don't think I'll ever be as excited for a game as I was for Battlefield 1. I can't believe it's been 5 years already, it all feels like yesterday...
Yeah, I know, and the best thing it's that the gameplay does look like what was shown in the trailer, saw a comment saying that every Battlefield had the same problem of the game not representing what the trailer was showing after the 2042 disaster, but I came back to this just to be sure that it wasn't always the case and that this trailer did showed what a great experience Battlefield 1 would end up being

The game is releasing to the public in just a month which means by now they are already packing up the game discs and getting ready to ship the fuckers out. The game is basically in it's finished state and nothing will change except stabilization fixes and optimizations to the game overall. The final game will be better only in that there will be more maps, modes and guns. But im all for it.

Battlefield 1 = 64 player battles with tanks and aircraft Infinite Warfare = 12 player battles in space on a 2007 game engine This isn't even debatable lol.
This trailer is PERFECT and I’ll tell you why. Most of the time while playing bf1 it feels like just another FPS (which is still fun). But then every once in a while you are in a situation that feels so surreal, like your team defending a position surrounded by enemies fighting bullet for bullet helping each other out knowing the only way to survive is to last until your allies push forward. Or when the battle field is chaos around you and you somehow live through all the death and destruction. All of a sudden in these moments the game feels real and you switch from just trying to get kills to the closest thing I’ve felt my mind go into “fight or flight”. After these moments are over I just sit back in my chair and feel my reality come back to me. No other game has ever made me feel this. if you have want to play for the kills, you can play any FPS game. But if you want to play for the EXPERIENCE, this is the only game that can deliver it.
What blows my mind is the advancement of graphics and processing technology. 10 years ago if you told developers games would look like this they'd have laughed you out of the building. Looks badass.

Well that what is was. Before world war 2 wars were fought on the battle field not in the streets. Civilians were not seen as targets. Hell more soldiers died from disease then bullets. That would be a fun dlc trench foot and lice combo lol

They’re actually saying they can’t change the world, which makes more sense because WW1 didn’t make any kind of progress for humanity, or end any conflicts. The song also says “but can we change the game?” Which also works, since WW1 saw the invention of so many new weapons, vehicles, and forms of combat.

I never was interested in FPS games, but have always been super interested in WW1. To this day I play BF1 all the time. The newer games don’t compare.

I love the choice of the music how they say “we can change the world” over and over again because it’s supposed to impact how WW1 actually changed the world and paved the way for WW2 which topped it and changed the world even more
They’re actually saying they can’t change the world, which makes more sense because WW1 didn’t make any kind of progress for humanity, or end any conflicts. The song also says “but can we change the game?” Which also works, since WW1 saw the invention of so many new weapons, vehicles, and forms of combat.
