  • This is my somewhat quick review of the new Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 robot vacuum cleaner. The successor to the L10s Ultra and its little brother the L10 Ultra (review link below for that one).

    I purchased the L10s Ultra Pro - in less than a month the product is malfunctioning, and service is a disaster. Saying it would take 4 to 5 days for an engineer visit, nobody responds to email. Its really a disaster if a brand thinks its ok for their customer not using their product for a week or more! Please call this out in your review of this brand, and this is right here in Mumbai (India) not some remote tier 3 town.

      Hi! Really sorry to hear its not working and thx for the feedback! Not sure how the warrant process works in India but I´m guessing Dreame themselves are responsible for any service etc. Here (in Sweden) the responsibility of fixing (or replacing) a sold device usually is with the retailer, who then have to communicate with the manufacturer. Could the seller perhaps help in any way? // Chris

    The example at 3:00 is not the robot not getting on the carpet, it doesn’t want to go there while mopping. This is normal behaviour.

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really. This here was the robots first round around the edges of the room. After which it then goes over the whole area with a more up and down motion. In this particular cleaning session the robot completely disregarded the whole mat and never went up on it at all. Mopping or not. // Chris

      After comparing the L10 ultra and L10s , which model would you recommend for purchase ? Please consider all aspects, including cost, performance, and durability , to suggest which one is more worth buying at the moment. Thanks in advance

      @@arnav211113 Hi! In terms of actual results it´s not a huge difference between any of the L10-models and unless you really want the edge-mopping of the L10s Ultra Gen 2 I´d say the normal L10 Ultra and the L10s Ultra is just as competent. If I personally was to get one now, I would get the one of those that has the best deal. And I would probably not pay extra for the L10s Ultra Gen 2 since it´s not that much of an upgrade. Again, _unless_ you feel you need the edge-mopping, then the L10s Ultra Gen 2 is the only choice out of the L10-series. // Chris

    Does the 10k Pa suction make a significant difference from the prior model which I believe only had 5300 Pa suction? I have read by other reviewers on Reddit that the Pa suction isn't really a factor. Also, does the L10s Ultra Gen 2 avoid stairs and ledges?

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! No, it really does not. Perhaps that the suction on carpets is a little better, but for normal floors etc. I doubt that its ever using the full suction force anyway. As for stairs its supposed to be able to avoid it without any issues. I have however not tested this since I´ve got none in my apartment. As an extra saftey measure you can set up a no-go-zone in the app right next to the stair in question, which makes it not be able to go there at all. // Chris

      @Ian-qn9jg หลายเดือนก่อน

      It avoids stairs and ledges. Not sure why the reviewer states that twice as much suction won't make any difference to a vacuum cleaner? You can set the suction to maximum if you want to.
      It also has a different obstacle avoidance system, larger water capacity in the base, doesn't need a proprietary cartridge for the detergent, and edge mopping is only currently available on much more expensive machines.

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Ian-qn9jg Hi! Thx for the input! You absolutely can set it to maximum suction in the app, however at the cost of battery drain. I´m guessing most people will use the automatic settings, and there the difference is not extreme to the earlier machines. The egde mopping is also coming down in price a bit nowadays, for example the Roborock Qrevo MaxV also features it. Regardless, again, thx for the feedback :-) // Chris

      @Ian-qn9jg หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GetThereFaster I tested ours on max suction, intensive mode on our carpets instead of automatic. It did a much better job at the cost of 30% battery instead of 15% - we have a pretty small house though. But for us it seems there's no reason not to have it on max.
      It would be nice to know what the air watts for these machines are though as I understand the pascals are fairly meaningless.

      @GetThereFaster  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ian-qn9jg Thx for the input and some numbers! Always nice to see. Totally agree though, as long as the extra noise isn´t a dealbreaker and the machine doesn´t have to go and recharge, why not 🙂
      Can´t find any info about air watts for the robot vacuum cleaners. However they seem to have it for some hand held vaccums, like this one: global.dreametech.com/blogs/blog/dreame-v11-features So the information must be somewhere I recon. // Chris

    I'm just about to get this robot, but there's hardly any information regarding multi floor. It ia supported?

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! It does have support for multi floor. I did however not test it since, well, only one floor :-D However the functionality is not without issues since you have to move the whole base station with the robot to make it clean the different floors. The information about it is though pretty slim. A little about the process can be found here: dreametech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/9816644225945-How-to-use-multi-floor-maps // Chris

      @@GetThereFaster The app will support more than one floor. It may looses the mopping feature since it is unable to refill the tank and wash the mops.

    Question for you: Do you know if they replaced the front RBG camera and if so with what?
    I do see that the Gen 2 does still have a camera, but noticed the security cam feature was removed. Would you be able to elaborate on this?
    Appreciate the content and help!

    • @GetThereFaster
      @GetThereFaster  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! I am not 100% sure, but from what I understand the camera is still there, just like it was in the first L10s Ultra. However it is not accessible for the user end anymore. I´m assuming the camera is somewhat used for navigating instead together with the other sensors, but to which extent and exactly how I don´t know I´m afraid. Sorry not being of much help here :-/ // Chris

      Haha, well..... Unless you really need the edge mopping and the want to be able to put in whatever cleaning liquid you want (however Dreame only says use their one).. then, kinda.. a little :-)
