I just bought the RCA indoor 55 mile range antenna and it works great. I got 96 stations and that includes 6 Spanish stations. The only problem is now there are too many infomercials on free television. I mean, I love John Walsh, but not for selling some joint pain product. If there is a Ollie's near you, I recommend you perform a review on a antenna that Ollie's sells. I've been pleased with both Mohu antennas.
Ollies is in my area. I haven't shopped at the store in years, but recall them having a decent antenna selection. Most models were junk but there were a few decent models.
@@AntennaMan one has to be careful, as there are Mohu antennas that are Chinese knockoffs. I bought a two pack of so called Mohu antennas from a Sam's Club store and they turned out to be fake, as one broke in half while trying to install it and there were NO metal elements embedded in the plastic. They also came with so-called mini amplifiers, and I cracked one open and the only thing it had was circuitry to drop the 5 volt input to illuminate an LED. I took them back to the store and the manager said that stores were pulling them because they were fakes and promptly refunded me.
Thanks for sharing that. I remember a friend of mine maybe 12 years ago said that he bought a little piece of crap that said I could pick up 1,000 mi away. I have a question I have not been able to find an answer to after watching a few of your videos. Are amplifiers/preamps suitable for indoor antennas or not?
Most times they don't do anything for an indoor antenna as amplifiers only make up for signal loss in a long coax cable. Most of the time, the issue with an indoor antenna picking up a channel is due to the impact of building material and multipath/reflected signals around the room, so an amplifier won't make a difference in that case. It's best to use a signal meter with an indoor antenna to find the best location for it where signal levels are highest. See video below. th-cam.com/video/1_Cy08x5qeY/w-d-xo.html

Hello antenna man, what do you consider to be the best performing outdoor roof antenna? I currently have a lava HD omni-directional and it picks up a bunch of channels and they are very clear. I may not need to change it but I was just curious.
He has stated that the "best antenna" varies a lot with the situation so there isn't one best. I, however, say that since you are getting the TV you want to watch, you now have the best antenna. I get a total of 129 channels on my attic antenna setup. In the last month there is only one channel out of all of them I have watched. BTW: I have two antennas combined with a "splitter" and then boosted with an amplifier before I split it to the TVs. I just reminded my self that my project isn't quite done. I need to add a covering door in the back of a closet where the cable come up from below to go through the wall plate into the room.
This is probably not a good question for you but I'm going to try because I can't get any information anywhere else I've tried. I stream video game content. For the most part things work fine. What I would like to do is capture the content coming from my Xbox series X. I have a decent 4K splitter and that splitter has hdcp 2.3 encryption. This encryption trash prevents me from capturing the signal from the HDMI. How do I strip the 2.3 encryption?

I admit I watch many of these the instant I see a range claim listed. The debunking shall now begin!!! My Mom is a casual watcher of your channel, and SHE knows that mantra by heart. Not to get political, but I'm surprised a certain someone never sold a self-branded 5000-mile 8K antenna.
It's 980 mile range if it is on the space shuttle.
Antenna looks like a vintage RCA Microphone from the 1950's.
Hi Tyler. I like your shirt!
Thanks!
That antenna is for the flat earthers.
That was a gut buster!!😂
They deserve it. 😂
You took the words right out of my brain.

I followed the link for the Antennas Direct ClearStream Flex Amplified Antenna and Amazon lists it with no price.
It's sold out. Try the Channel Master or ClearStream 2V linked below: amzn.to/4g9zcYo
I live in a lower apartment and have a hard time getting channels. What is the best indoor antenna you would recommend?
Probably the Channel Master or ClearStream model linked below: amzn.to/4g9zcYo

Antennas Direct ClearStream 1 Convertible Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna vs.
ClearStream 2V??
What's the difference i want to use as indoor antenna the stations are only 13 miles away.
Are any of these antennas come with amplifier? There's a seller on ebay with open box ClearStream 1 for $24 including shipping
Thanks
Maybe it is a microphone?
I NEEDED TO KNOW THIS
How did Marconi's radio signal go around 2000 miles?
he used a kite
This is probably not a good question for you but I'm going to try because I can't get any information anywhere else I've tried.
I stream video game content.
For the most part things work fine.
What I would like to do is capture the content coming from my Xbox series X.
I have a decent 4K splitter and that splitter has hdcp 2.3 encryption.
This encryption trash prevents me from capturing the signal from the HDMI.
How do I strip the 2.3 encryption?
You can try an HDMI splitter like the model below: amzn.to/4eZdXYA
@AntennaMan I enjoy your channel.
Thank you for your advice and time and have a great day!

do antenna's wear out? I Have an antenna that I have had for 37 years. I live in Fl and have seen my share of hurricanes. the signal started getting bad about a year ago I put a new booster on it thinking that was the issue I would like some thoughts before I replace my antenna thank you :)
Yes, connection terminals on an antenna can wear after years of sun and rain exposure. Replace your old antenna with a comparably sized model linked below: www.amazon.com/shop/antennaman/list/2LH365VAPDKLC?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d
@@AntennaMan Thank you Tyler you are awesome I love your videos and I do have my eye on the Channel Master Advantage 100 Directional Outdoor TV Antenna - Long Range FM, VHF, UHF and Digital HDTV Aerial - CM-3020 I figure if I can get 10 - 20 years out of it then its worth it plus I'm like 40 - 50 miles from my local stations
I’m looking for a powerful antenna to hook up three TVs on my wall. I have a hard time getting ABC . Thnk u I just subscribed and looking forward to checking out you videos. Thnks
The key to connecting an antenna to three TVs is not so much the antenna itself but the appropriate amplifier. See video below. th-cam.com/video/blsyk6AG5zY/w-d-xo.html
That antenna is made by the cable companies!
And broadcast companies, they want those rebroadcast fees 😂
A 980 mile range for an indoor antenna 📡? Yeah, right.
Hey, Tyler! You should do sit down videos on TH-cam using that "microphone". 👈😃👍
Also. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to you! Keep up the good work 👍.
I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving as well 🦃
@@AntennaManYou're welcome!

980 miles a person would be abel to pick up multiple tv markets in different states ..lol..i have the 40 mile channel master with a amp and a LGE filter in line and my OTA tv reception is flawless and i live feet from a million watt power station and 1/8" of a mile from a cell tower ..so im living proof tyler knows waht he speaks ..i gots a zapperbox m-1 and i am quiet please with it all ..i have had this current set up nearly 2 years and it was well worth the investment :) which would be about 5 months of cabel bills ..so about 450 or 500 bucks total ..with all the items
Thanks Dude.
Thanks for watching!
I just bought a new indoor antenna and I'm getting station's from Venus, Mars, and occasionally Uranus....
980 feet ACTUAL range.
That's more accurate!
