Please do more of these. I have never had an opportunity to look at the mechanical details of a Bugatti at this level before. Watching your progress on this magnificent vehicle is like a glimpse of the promised land.
i know im randomly asking but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Angelo Fernando thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Subscribed. This is great. Your a fountain of knowledge and I think you are really keeping in the spirit of these things by playing with various ideas whilst not canabalising original parts. Really good stuff all round. Cant wait to see more
I found this so interesting - what a fascinating project. Like another commentator, looking at the engineering underneath the bodywork of these cars is a rare glimpse into the artistry and engineering ideas of Bugatti. Thanks!
I shared Tim's early interest in American hot-rodding. In the early-1960s, in my teens, I must have been one of no more than a handful of UK subscribers to Hot Rod Magazine. Don Garlits and his Swamp Rat fuel dragsters, along with Connie Kalitta and his Bounty Hunters, were among my heroes. I also worshipped the Californian hot-rod designers, such as Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth, and their outrageous rolling-art experiments in hemi- (and Ford- and Chevy-)powered bucket Ts, deuce coupes, and other Americana.
Absolutely Incredible. I have been assembling a decent machine shop to support my TH-cam channel that I am about to start. I am starting with some of the machinery that I ahed found and need to restore. Then I am building a 1928 Morgan 3 wheeler with 4 wheels. It is a GN Special boattail racer. I am using MG parts so mine will be a Morgan /MG Special Brooklands Boat tail racer with a turbo charged opposed twin experimental aircraft motor. The next on the list that I have sourced parts for is a Pembleton style Brooklands Cyclecar with a BMW R-100 motorcycle engine and my Foray into panel beating aluminum body or I wil stick with the aircraft cloth and sprayed with doped plasticizer. The last on the list that I have parts for is a Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing that I have the body buck for a carbon fiber build on either an SLK or a '77 Corvette allowing ease of repair. I eventually would love to start building Bugatti tips 35's and the like just as you are. My channel wil be called Machines and Motors and as soon as it Gets a bit warmer I wil be starting the work.
You should come to America. We have lots of ling empty roads that are begging for a self built Bugatti. I have dreamed of doing this very project for most of my adult life. Life and family obligations have always stood in my way. I truly envy you. Thank you for sharing your opus.
Nice a hot rod Bugatti. Be so great to see this at Bonneville just like the MB gullwing that races BVille. Seal every electrical component the salt get in everything. Good Luck
Really like your car in red. Nice to see a Bugatti in some other color than their iconic blue but I’m partial as I like red. Enjoy your videos and all the technical knowledge you share. Stay well and stay safe.
Thankyou, i've learnt a new word.. At the start of lockdown i was in favour of all the schools (and appropriate requisitioned sites) instantly being adapted and used as dormitory quarantine sites ('cos we know how the ankle biters spread germs) nevertheless since Spanish 'Flu in 1918-1919 all thinking people knew another bomb would drop- it was just a matter of when. The boy's right about freedom, but the problem is at least 20% of the population are either muppets or borderline muppets, and can't be trusted to do the 'right thing'. A verbal guarantee of (any) tyre of this type being OK up to 200mph has to be regarded as anecdotal, of course. People who push the envelope are generally stoic about the dangers and by their nature have to accept them.
Tim, FYI; I think you know this but while the drag force goes up with the square of the velocity, the horsepower requirement to overcome said force goes up with the cube of the velocity.
Hi Tim, at about the 10:00 minute mark you talk about the tires your using...I could not quite understand the make and we are looking for some for one of our race cars. would you be so kind as to tell us the make and where you purchase them? Thanks for a wonderful 3 videos of Bugatti's!!!
Fantastic car and a really interesting video Tim. Glad I stumbled upon it! Do you plan any period modifications to the bodywork such as cowlings to the radiator, cockpit or even the tail to obtain a higher top speed?
This was an amazing video I’ve been Obsessed with Bugatti for quite a long time I am building my own Bugatti tribute from a 53 Td Looking for a Bugatti radiator I don’t suppose you know where I can buy one?

Thank you so much for the talk through the car, Tim. You've done a wonderful development job of which Ettore would be proud I am sure.

Great High End stuff...
