As part of the Conserve Tibet Project, this rare footage was recovered in 2013 and digitized by Roots Brooklyn.

These rare audios and videos that have historical importance to the Tibetan people were collected and digitally preserved as part of the Conserve Tibet Project in 2013 - 2015 with the help of Thupten Chakrishar, Jamyang Dorjee, Rinchen Dharlo, Tsulrim Chophel, Shelley & Donald Rubin and Alexander Gardner, Ph. D.
Imagine how beautiful it would be, hasTibet kept her independence!!! There would be no border tensions between China and India; the fragile environment of the roof of the world would be protected; the major rivers that are lifelines to so many South East Asians nations would flow freely without dams and Tibet could have become a place , where all peace loving people come to celebrate Buddha Dharma!!!

Penchen lama here showing visited India with Dalai lama to India, Sikkim. But am puzzled with social media about missing Penchen lama. How is it.
The one in the video is the 10th Penchen Lama. The one who is kidnapped as a kid when the Dalai Lama recognised him is the 11th Penchen Lama, reincarnation of the 10th.
