I totally agree with your theory about Julien’s dad being wrapped up in something illegal but I’d also like to add my theory about how the season is gonna end which is with Julien’s dad being arrested, resulting in Julien having to move in with Zoya and her father.
Julien is next level Charli to me. I like that her character is just *normal* She's not the "nicest" person from the get-go but she does her best to be kind and empowering and she actually learns from her mistakes. I preferred her over Zoe. Zoe has a bit of a holier than thou attitude. So when she developed an emotional relationship with her sister's boyfriend and started dating him literally THE DAY they broke up, it was such a turn off. You can't police people on how to behave when you betray your blood for you a boy you knew for two days. Julien was actually mature and tried to work it out with her sister even though she was deeply hurt and still very much in love.
I absolutely LOVE Luna & Zion who plays her on the show! 🤩 I feel like she is quickly becoming a fan fave. I hope she becomes the breakout lead favorite the same way Blaire did for the original. She’s got leading woman intrigue & potential for sure! I heard a blurb from the head writer that Monet will be receiving character development but not our girl Ms. La ☹️ at least not for this season
i feel like she won't be the next blair because of her limited screentime. blair may not have been credited first but she had pretty equal screentime to serena and surpassed her in the later seasons. luna is probably only about the eighth most relevant character sadly :(

Fast forward a couple seasons & Summer was the fan fave & no one cared what Marissa did 😆😆 obviously it would be easier for Blair to claim the spotlight bc her & Serena were still both IT girls with the show centered around them both. However I’m rooting for Luna 😌 I think she could pull it off & we know this reboot isn’t trying to be like the original.

I think the reason Akis dad told him to stay away from Julien is because he’s gonna report how she did coke because there were people recording her but they didn’t do anything with that and I highly doubt that a high profile person wouldn’t be exposed for that. So I think it’s the coke shit or something with her dad
