The tail light trails in this game reminds me of Need For Speed World, while the wind effects is of Most Wanted '05 and Carbon.
Added with the sonic boom effect, it looks so good. Wish we had an option to turn off effects and a camera mode during these moments for picture taking.
Other than that I don't mind the effects that much in gameplay.
also when you hit the nitro in NFS Underground 2 the taillights had a trail too
Yeah Chicago's Chinatown was insta Carbon vibes, flashbacks to that boss race
For obvious reasons, the Mitsubishi Eclipse in this game has a body kit that looks... oddly familiar... 😉
It remembers me a franchise that was supposed to be about street racing but turned out into a "superheroes in cars" movie

The F&F kit is actually scanned from the actual car from the guy who owns it today. Cool that they opted to include the real Robocar kit into the game

i really like that the AI's are actually challenging, you can't just sit back and drive relaxed and still get 1st every time

This is basically Underground 3! Nothing but Underground vibes. This is more than just an updated version of heat. Starting to grow on me in a good way 🤔👍

The Buick Grand National good sir, was no sleeper here in the Americas lol. No meatiness because it’s a turbo 6 cylinder! During the debut way back before I was born it beat many records set by the competition of V8’s of the same time and has been a legend and rarity ever since!

Fun fact about the Eclipse in the game, the model used to implement it in the game was based off @dom_dub’s “Fast and Furious” replica build
The AI is Challenging in this game. A step up from Heat. I've finished 2nd and 3rd more times than first. However once you upgrade to the top of your class the difficulty curve shortens.
Cop are easy on 🔥 1-3 but 4 and 5 it's just you playing Hide and Seek while slowly ducking and lurking to the safe house and hope a undercover cop doesn't spawn. Those Ford Raptors are strong and aggressive. If not careful they'll eat your health fast.

you can change the pitch of your characters voice in character model customization ( Model Select > Edit Model > Presentation > Voice Tuning )
I picked the Firebird over the Eclipse, and I may regret it, but the backfires when letting off the gas sound like gun shots lol. This game is way better than heat as of now, also the drift events are....interesting lol
I also picked the firebird. It seems like the wheels just spin at the take off of a race. Hard to get a grip.

Loving the videos Panths! This NFS entry is definitely a Top 5 NFS contender already and I love that THAT grinding feeling is back.
One thing I noticed bugged me.
When you enter a meetup (before the garage incident) and go into the rivals tab, you'll see that the racers have not aged after the 2 year time skip.

In case no one realized, the Aventador SVJ in Heat had zero customization. This game offers a widebody, wings, etc. Can’t wait to get my hands on this game.

That run thru the drain area looked like the early leaked footage of the F40 going around and around in the pipe
old upgraded parts automatically apply to some cars you get later i believe - i got a plymouth barracuda from a race rated at 115, but when i got back to the garage it bumped up to 145 and had the old parts from my A tier car
Theo, when you get to heat level 5, prepare to be hunted down by suped up F-150s. Trust me when I say that they are the most terrifying cops in the game, don't bother trying to fight them or even outrun them (even in an A+ tier it's difficult), the best way to deal with them is to out-maneuver them (I.e. find the nearest road block and hope it takes them out).

This nfs is actually super awesome. At first i had trouble steering but i got it locked in now. This feels like heat v underground v carbon and its amazing. Iove how multiplayer has its own progression and the races are tier locked and you are actually forced to build several cars
I get your points but my attainable dream car is an s15 so in NFS heat I built it and pretty much played the whole game with it like you can technically do in real life like make any car as fast or slow or 'offroady' as you want. Now if I get this I have to get cars I don't like at all I'm sad about that but I'm definitely going to keep watching his videos on this🤣
need for speed most wanted was the only nfs game i ever played and i loved it, it would be great to capture some of that feeling back
this game kind of does honestly, within 5 minutes i had a completely different feeling from heat in a good way

I feel this game has taken inspiration from all of the past in ways. I like it so far but it is a grind of a game from what I’ve gathered in some of the gameplay. I like your videos keep it up man!!!

The grand national was a v6 turbo; it was something that they def made the legend alive for the race.
I just noticed that this game lets the vehicles get damaged, something auto makers have shy'd away from for quite a long time. Makes me excited for GTA6, where we might actually finally see irl cars with irl damage
