i feel like they both love the idea of being together but none of them is committed to making it work. instead they are hurting other people in the process and enjying the benefits that come with being together but no real commitment on their relationship alone. and if they did get married, i doubt there would be trust. they both know they are capable of hurting people
Problem vha a divhelana, that's why they can't do just the 2 of them and calling a quits its going to be hard because they are used that but they should talk and decide whether they are trying just the 2 of them or they let go
I think the 12 year's guy loves the lady a lot but he doesn't believe the lady loves him back the same and their past has shown him where the lady has opted for another man in his presence. He doesn't trust the lady will be faithful to him should he decide to marry her however I truly believe he loves her.

Or maybe he married his current wife to spite the divorced girlfriend now only for it to work out for him with a woman with good intentions and now he can't leave
