I've been wondering why he's not on NETFLIX myself. He plays his parts so diligently and deserves that recognition. The movie industry is missing out for not featuring him because he got the fan base! His agents must also push harder because he wins they win as well. Maurice Sam and Frederick Leonard, both have the voice and acting ability to make it to Netflix and even Hollywood. But they need agents to get them those parts.
Netflix is not about the actor per say, it's about the story. Netflix has to find it interesting enough to feature it. As for Hollywood, do you know how many Hollywood actors who do not have enough work?
Netflix, yes. Hollywood, no. It’s not that they don’t have the skills. But realistically, many of my favorite Nollywood movies would be considered B or even C class according to Hollywood standards. They don’t have the same budget, and there’s a tremendous difference in the quality. I frequently see things like bad lighting, background music too loud, you can hear folks on the set talking during a take, the microphone accidentally drops into the camera shot, you can tell when they switch cameras. Even the set is sometimes subpar. All of these things wouldn’t be allowed in Hollywood. As an American with no training, even I noticed these filming errors. It’s not impossible for them to cross over, but they’d have to hustle hard for that one role that really put them on the international map. And the film quality really needs to be on point to for these actors to be taken seriously outside of Nollywood.

@@EbonyRivers1 I think even the fact that African fans expect it to happen shows just how behind we are as a whole. Jim Iyke got a very minor role in Hollywood movie a few years back, he even moved to the US to build on that opportunity. *And Jim Iyke is the sh!t as far as Nollywood goes* He never smelled another roll again. He is back to Nollywood doing bigger things. *They think someone can move from acting a $5000 USD/movie budget to a $50M-100M USD budget just like that?*
Something is wrong somewhere, Maurice is one of the best actors.

@@christinap9620 Its interesting to me that Africans think someone can make the stretch from Nollywood to Hollywood. Without knowing the culture nor anything, on a movie set with hundreds of people when they are used to a 7-member cast.
When I first saw Maurice Sam movies not too long-ago, I couldn't help but wonder why he hasn't become a producer yet. I thought about what it takes to become one. Maurice has great potential, and if he becomes a producer, he won't need to work extremely hard. He can train actors and assemble a fantastic team. This is the perfect time for him to take that step. I admire when Africans make progress, and Maurice represents that to me. Do you know if he has a contact agency?

He deserves the best because he gives the best I think Maurice Sam should be on Netflix and on every major platform this guy is amazing and it takes one person to destroy you and one person to lift you up whoever gave him that role in blood sisters he just did what he was told he acted out what was told to him the storyline may not have been the best fit for him but there's no rule that is given to him but he doesn't do his best 100 percent is there fault and by the grace of God he will rise to these Major platforms he has the ability to so if you asked me that hating on him😮 I'm just saying I enjoy watching him love his acting and yes he is gorgeous❤

Maurice Sam is a very ambitious and aspiring actor love by many. In his movies, he shows all the life values, and can multi-task them, he loves what he does, and by all mean in a perspective level Netflix should greatly award him permanently on there platform, it would be an amazing success for his achievements.

The writers & producers need to do better to allow Maurice Sam to not be too vulnerable as a bad boy or the good guy / actor who finishes last & best, in the parts he plays. He's gotta be a better fighter & stand out as the star, or we're gonna start believing their hating on him or are jealous. Maurice also can choose the parts he will not accept as a standard. It's good to be versatile, but commanding the top screen part & pay is important to be considered & called for a part in a movie! Maurice should stop dying & loosing fights, in his parts on screen as an actor! He should be whipping the enemies rass, unless he's playing the part of a criminal or villain or minise to society. He should play more tuff good guy parts & kick rass! What? Come on now! If he shines & stands out, the writers & producers get better recognition! Don't u think? But look at Tyler Perry’s budget and film quality compared to Nollywood. Two completely different scales. I gave the example in another post of how Nollywood movies have bad lighting sometimes, too loud background music, set folks heard in the mics. You can’t do that in Hollywood. The level of expectation is top notch and perfection. Great Nollywood actors, but the film quality isn’t there to support them.

From where I am and not knowing much about movies, I do not agree that Maurice Sam's role as an assassin in Blood Sisters is not perfect. Assassins die in movies all the time. He played a good role and was tough so it's really the writers and producers who determine your role in a movie. I've been watching him on TH-cam and he's also in an episode of Castle & Castle on Netflix.
I love CASTLE and CASTLE! I stopped watching because the episodes take too long and i'm waiting for more uploaded episodes. This way I can enjoy it more.

My point is the fact that someone is on a Netflix movie just means the work of promoters of the movie - not because they can act. Now I love me some Maurice. But honestly, his Character in Blood Sisters was an EPIC FAIL. A blind man could see him coming a country away. What assassin you know enters a room means mugging and wearing a leather jacket.🤷🏽♀️The walk through the kitchen area was laughable. That's why his role stood out: lousy acting. You are right. It falls on the director and scriptwriter. Most African movies on Netflix are below average, and it's disappointing to watch. However, several films deserve an award because they are just that good.
I do not watch African movies on Netflix, the acting is so lousy. The story lines are even lousier. And Maurice is not there yet, Jim Iyke yes.
