I really hope they add the rest of the Ibiza map throughout the coming seasons, drove around the map earlier and it really feels like an actual test drive game. Need houses and offline mode too!
Alex7 you know I have been one of your biggest critic, you have hit the sweet spot with this video. I played this update using ps5 pro, I agree the Ibiza is a breath of fresh air. 1) beautiful graphics 2) Ibiza Costa radio station music very enjoyable 3) toned down Ai that doesn’t require me to be sweaty in a relaxing game. Alex, It now feels satisfying to just cruise around in my favorite fancy car and enjoy the scenery of Ibiza. I just wish there was a lot more to explore.
I can’t stand how much people love to hate on this game despite the developers really trying to make an effort to bring tdu back to what it was. the ibiza map is beautiful and i hope they expand it in the future
They need to bring the entire map asap. This generation has the technologies & AI to help them. We dont need ultra rendered houses..just bring back open roads, open "big" maps.
@@BA-so3mx AI in development isn't a good idea because of how non reliable it is. Also, Ibiza outside of the city isn't as interesting as HKI or so. And giving the entire map "ASAP" is probably the worst because it will be rushed and in very bad quality

And i fully disagree, no one cares driving in a big city, we want nature, big stretched roads exactly like TDU 1 & 2, i played both for over 3000 hours its been an amazing experience, i just dont get why they dont follow the DNA & route both games were taking. Thats why the game is failing now, the true players didnt come back and bought it because its just not "it". I'm one of them, if they fix that then ok

That dealership is perfectly sized, I hate how in the base game all of the dealerships are just huge empty cave to give it that “futuristic” look, even in Ibiza it’s way to futuristic however definitely better than the ones in the base game
Steering wheel animations is good. Feel like just clan races for Ibiza is abit light. They should have balanced out some cars instead of completely killing them and I’ve noticed performance issues on my pro that weren’t there before. But now this is out the way and season 3 is cancelled they can now focus on improving the game and hopefully listen to your and the community’s input
Probably the only person who feels this way but I'm quite pissed off that the gear whine has been removed. For the logical thinker, the final tier parts would likely be race level equipment ie the gearbox. So the sound makes actual sense. Thanks, I enjoy my near 3k 918 sounding muffled now and my 2k veyron sounds ehh. The option should be here instead of forcing things on people.
The issue is that stock cars that don’t have straight cut gears, have transmission whine, which makes 0 sense because why would there be a straight cut gear transmission in the many stock cars in the game. As I said in the video, with parts upgraded it should be there yes.
@TheAlexVII this is true, but could you relay to them to bring it back for the later tier of parts? I would hate for the turbo sounds to be nerfed next because it's not realistic 🤫. Good video and I'm just nitpicking, thanks for the response 👍🏾.

The Apollo ie needs that high-pitched Ferrari sound like irl considering that it has a derived Ferrari f12 v12. Hopefully, that'll be fixed next update, and maybe get Pagani and the Lexus lfa 🤞
Lots of steps in the right direction! I really like the fact that there was an emphasis on immersion here (parking lanes gone woohoo!), but there's still quite a hike to go to make it feel like a true TDU game! The things that could make me buy it though would be : - Offline mode - Bigger and more interactive map (AC Evo should not be the one to lead in this area) - More PC optimisation - AI rework It has a lot of potential imo, great handling, fantastic sounds, good visuals in some scenarios, a general atmosphere that isn't 1000% cringe like other arcade racing games... but there are issues that just can't be overlooked sadly.
Before everyone rushes to configure 900 degree steering in game, you might want to double check the rotation limit in your real car. My Audi is around 540 degrees. I just hope they get the speed sensitive steering accurate for doing 3 point turns vs a simple 90 turn into a side street.
Ibiza map is amazing! Along with steering animation it's a top notch! It even forced my friend to play with me and we had a proper cruise, like in old TDU1-2 times! Before S2 he refused to play. I like new sound of R8 Spider and the fact money does not decrease after 4 races. New radio stations are amazing as well. The vibe is there! Ibiza map needs to be expanded for sure. Still there is a disappointment bcz they didn't fix misaligned steering wheels in more than 35 cars. MC20, Mito, Old GT40 have the worst examples. How was this ignored while they implemented steering animation... M4 sounded more realistic before the patch 2(not S2 but the patch). Now it sounds dull and too silent. Alpine A110 1973 and Merc AMG 65 are still a "silent hill" and can be barely heard when driving from the cockpit. SVJ sound is downgraded as well. Automatic hazard lights are still here - tons of feedback regarding this just ignored. Input lag is still here - if you hit keyboard button the steering wheel and pedals stops to respond and it takes few attempts pressing its buttons/pedals to make the game to see it again.

The animation artist doesn't fix the vehicle artists work for example on the wheel alignment. You can't fix everything in 1 patch, but over time you'll see these things fixed/improved.

I still think this is a rushed and a LAZY tdu game.. I mean the game miss alot of cutscenes for example, the only cutscene you get is down the elevator and when you buy a car. In tdu 2 when you traveled you got a cutscene you could actually walk in the airport and shit. This game only give you loading screens, there is no cutscenes when you drive out of your garage wich is sad that shows you how lazy the devs are the game lacks alot of cars and the textures are very old. They really need to update the graphics. I would call the console version a total scam thr fact that we still playing a racing game in 1080p is a joke every other tdu game was ahead of its time and brought something new to the table but this game does not and it is even missing alot from the other games. Season 2 is a good start in the right direction and the ibiza map makes hong kong look disgusting honestly. I wish hong kong was the dlc and ibiza was the main map
Season 2 is a good start but it’s too little too late. The main complaints people had are still In the game and unfortunately I think this game is at the point of being shut down very soon. Hopefully an offline mode comes before though

Alex I'm currently emailing kt racing paris about a noticeable fault come up in hong kong island. To fix the wipers in car view not wiping off pouring rain on windscreen it's no longer visible for driving or racing in heavy rain.
Alex do you know if they have changed something in graphics? Because in Ps5 I have seen a big difference than before. Cars, trees all seem great. In tunnel cars coming from the opposite direction have different flashing lights. Moreover it’s easier now to reach FRIM lvl 10, because cars have stopped respawn in front of you, or change lanes all the time. The handling also feel a little different, especially in Taycan which is a bit slower now.
Just for those on ps5 pro. Although there are no specific pro settings (performance HDR mode). There are some really Forbidden west level graphics in this Ibiza update.
Ibiza should’ve been the map from day 1 and they could’ve added Hong Kong as a dlc map but why go away from the TDU original roots is crazy. They also need to update graphics and get more modern day cars from over the last 5 years as well. If the wanna compete with other games. Like add Ferrari spider f8 or sf90 or Porsche gtr etc and make the pricing of the cars more obtainable I seen that a lambo for 6mil is crazy lol
I feel like this game won’t be fully ready until like year 2-3 hopefully by that time people are still interested. If you compare to games like the crew 2 when it first came out it wasn’t fully polished it wasn’t until more people played the game and as it grew that’s when it all came together from graphics to car physics etc. once they add houses plus garage space it will get better. IMO
had a bit of fun cruising around it, it looks really nice as well. definitely prefer the mediterranean vibes to those of hong kong, i do hope they expand the map as we can see and drive a little bit outside of the playable area so i don’t see a reason not to, however there is a good chunk there. i’m trying to avoid putting it on my C drive though lol as i don’t have any space for it nor do i want to move anything on there to other drives. it’s on an external SSD though but still runs a bit choppy at times
Everybody should have gotten the purina furina with how messed up the game has been! As far as the new solar pass is concerned you have to get 900,000 xp to get the lambo and that is crazy!
Hi i want to ask something. Im playing from ps5 with g29 steering wheel does the clutch work for you on the gear shift in manual cars with clutch? (for example VW Beatle).
Can anyone confirm how many districts are currently there in Eivissa? When entering a new district, I swore it said any number/10, but I can only highlight 5 or 6 districts. Maybe the map will be expanded a little later? The play area barriers are a little weird.
The gameplay and quality of life aspects of the game can definitely be improved over time, but I'm still refraining from buying this game unless/until they sort out their server structure with its harsh region locking and empty lobbies.

my ffb stopped working after the last update. I'm hoping season 2 fixed it I was in a que for over a hour last night before I didn't feel like driving anymore. try again today
I ran into you when I played for the first time yesterday. I think you were afk. Imo, a lot of things are odd and there's a lot of things that are just functional but not well implemented. It doesn't feel finished. The steering wheel animation looks really bad in a awd car but it looks ok when drifting in a rwd car or when doing slow speeds maneuvers. The hand hovering over the wheel and not gripping it is just super odd. The controller vibrations do not transmit any engine vibration when close to the rev limit or any feel from the tires when cornering unless you are drifting, chaging gears or crashing into something. The re-centering of the steering is too agressive and feels a bit unnatural. The re-centering animation (of the steering wheel) should be less robtic as well. The in-center steering animation (driving straight) is too stiff, you don't see any movement for ondulations in the road. The overall handling is great though. It doesn't detect my 4060 has a 4000 series card with latest drivers and there's a lot of shadow flickering.
I don't understand why the game gets so much flak like i get how much of the dna is missing but what most of these reviewers besides alex id say is thats its being made by a AA studio that made nothing but rally games for the past few years honestly for the jump they did im impressed yeah its got issues but i expected that given their history
That's a stupid excuse. Small studio or not. If you buy a well-known IP, you have to deal with the expectations of the fans. Nobody wanted this stupid PVP competitive system except the developers. The criticism is justified.

I feel like the masses have moved on from this game. So it's basically 'dead' in terms of people buying and playing it. Even if it slowly gets better, i just dont see people coming back. Leaving just the niche tdu fans playing the game

The solar pass has the same exact paint as last season! All the good cars are nerfed! They raised the sp xp and lowered the xp from wins! Most of all they said we were getting Ibiza, we got 1/16th of Ibiza and we got what 2 new cars? The other cars are still trash!!! 😂 oh yeah they still have exclusive pvp cars when pvp isn't even close to working, and they also canceled season 3 so 100 days of nothing! These devs have ruined test drive! This game isn't gonna be playable or fun anytime soon! Who wants stickers!!!
Really enjoying SZN 2 and excited for more going forward. I and my friends notice quality of life improvements and thats what we need each season. Patiently waiting for many more cars, For example more variants of 911, 08 BMW M3, 08 Gallardo etc etc. More customization, rim and tire size options, bodykits, exhaust systems etc. Just a few pointers but all in all im satisfied from the jump from SZN 1 to SZN 2, KT and Nacon are listening. P.S Expand Ibazi map in the future and crank up the volume for cockpit view for the cars. The hellcat, Pista and GTR for example are extremely low with engine sound in cockpit view. They should SCREAM

you are not the only one, me too, I did like that wine, it added agresiveness and character to the sound and now it's even gone from upgraded cars.

had a bit of fun cruising around it, it looks really nice as well. definitely prefer the mediterranean vibes to those of hong kong, i do hope they expand the map as we can see and drive a little bit outside of the playable area so i don’t see a reason not to, however there is a good chunk there. i’m trying to avoid putting it on my C drive though lol as i don’t have any space for it nor do i want to move anything on there to other drives. it’s on an external SSD though but still runs a bit choppy at times

Hi i want to ask something. Im playing from ps5 with g29 steering wheel does the clutch work for you on the gear shift in manual cars with clutch? (for example VW Beatle).

Can anyone confirm how many districts are currently there in Eivissa? When entering a new district, I swore it said any number/10, but I can only highlight 5 or 6 districts. Maybe the map will be expanded a little later? The play area barriers are a little weird.
The gameplay and quality of life aspects of the game can definitely be improved over time, but I'm still refraining from buying this game unless/until they sort out their server structure with its harsh region locking and empty lobbies.
I loved Ibiza because as it is a smaller map you can see more players roaming around and it feels so good

I ran into you when I played for the first time yesterday. I think you were afk. Imo, a lot of things are odd and there's a lot of things that are just functional but not well implemented. It doesn't feel finished. The steering wheel animation looks really bad in a awd car but it looks ok when drifting in a rwd car or when doing slow speeds maneuvers. The hand hovering over the wheel and not gripping it is just super odd. The controller vibrations do not transmit any engine vibration when close to the rev limit or any feel from the tires when cornering unless you are drifting, chaging gears or crashing into something. The re-centering of the steering is too agressive and feels a bit unnatural. The re-centering animation (of the steering wheel) should be less robtic as well. The in-center steering animation (driving straight) is too stiff, you don't see any movement for ondulations in the road. The overall handling is great though. It doesn't detect my 4060 has a 4000 series card with latest drivers and there's a lot of shadow flickering.

Stock cars had a straight cut gears transmission whine which makes no sense. Cars like the stock Apollo IE and Vulcan have it, but a stock BMW M4 and other vehicles should not
I feel like the masses have moved on from this game. So it's basically 'dead' in terms of people buying and playing it. Even if it slowly gets better, i just dont see people coming back. Leaving just the niche tdu fans playing the game
Bro the fact some of yall are still defending these people is wild! They gave us "compensation" and it's literally the worst car in the game and they made it worse because it's cc! The solar pass has the same exact paint as last season! All the good cars are nerfed! They raised the sp xp and lowered the xp from wins! Most of all they said we were getting Ibiza, we got 1/16th of Ibiza and we got what 2 new cars? The other cars are still trash!!! 😂 oh yeah they still have exclusive pvp cars when pvp isn't even close to working, and they also canceled season 3 so 100 days of nothing! These devs have ruined test drive! This game isn't gonna be playable or fun anytime soon! Who wants stickers!!!
The compensation car is actually quite competitive
Really enjoying SZN 2 and excited for more going forward. I and my friends notice quality of life improvements and thats what we need each season. Patiently waiting for many more cars,
For example more variants of 911, 08 BMW M3, 08 Gallardo etc etc. More customization, rim and tire size options, bodykits, exhaust systems etc. Just a few pointers but all in all im satisfied from the jump from SZN 1 to SZN 2, KT and Nacon are listening.
P.S Expand Ibazi map in the future and crank up the volume for cockpit view for the cars. The hellcat, Pista and GTR for example are extremely low with engine sound in cockpit view. They should SCREAM

Ibiza should’ve been the map from day 1 and they could’ve added Hong Kong as a dlc map but why go away from the TDU original roots is crazy. They also need to update graphics and get more modern day cars from over the last 5 years as well. If the wanna compete with other games. Like add Ferrari spider f8 or sf90 or Porsche gtr etc and make the pricing of the cars more obtainable I seen that a lambo for 6mil is crazy lol
