8:25 you'll see why the entire anime needs a remaster when you get into the second half of the show. animation is one thing but pacing is a different beast that needs to be fixed
Hey Sami, great reaction to some great recent developments! A couple thoughts/notes for you: 8:19 - Regarding the length of this project, as others have said it's only confirmed to be the East Blue so far. However, given the expected audience approval of a new adaptation of the best-selling manga of all time, I think it's prudent for Wit to anticipate that the series will continue (24:14). I understand what you are saying regarding being "disrespectful to Toei," but I don't see it that way at all; the new production is handling story material that was animated ~25 years ago. Even if there are future seasons there will be no overlap in production as Toei will assuredly finish the series before Wit could get there, a testament to One Piece's length. Similarly, series re-adaptations are becoming more common, and I'm sure extending One Piece as a cash cow is to everyone's benefit, especially if an ongoing anime continues to help sales of the manga (like Dragon Ball Super). I personally think that in the end we'll get a full series retelling, most fans will want to relive nostalgia by comparing differences in the new version, and new young fans will discover One Piece on Netflix instead of hearing about it as a completed classic. And of course, people who are scared of the 1100+ Toei episodes will be happier just keeping up with the new series... until they want to watch what happens next, which is also great for Toei. 😉 I believe that seeing the beginning with fresh animation will generate interest in a continuation, and by the time we've reached Water 7/Enies Lobby/Thriller Bark the focus may shift from "better animation" towards better pacing. Plenty of fans (understandably) hate the current Toei pacing because Oda is putting out less manga per year than ever before, but that's unavoidable given Oda is also taking time for movies, the live action, his health, and more. However, it also makes sense that Toei wants to keep One Piece on air with an episode out each week. My only fears are the score and the voice cast. Many fans would miss their favorite music, and while I'm sure the original cast would return I would be worried about their age/health for the long run since a re-adaptation would take a long time, especially considering it wouldn't be airing continually. It would be a shame to lose any of the main voice cast before the story was complete. 22:50 - I understand the confusion, the subs are fine but are stiff with a few terms. As others have said, this project is confirmed to be a series, so no worries there. The Japanese team is using the term "eizou" (映像) and that literally means "produced image," as in what is depicted on a TV screen. Rather than "film," in this context I would've translated it more like, "finished product." 🙂 Sorry for the long message but I hope you understand all my thoughts and why I included them. 😅
@@SAMISYOP Thanks man, glad it was worth the read! @@jamesaulner8958 remember the part where I e guy was drawing laboon inside? It's in grandline so I think first season would be till entering grandline.
I think that 'film' is probably just a localization translation, idk. I think they meant it like 'animation' or 'series animation'? I may be wrong on that part. But I think it will be episodically for the whole of East Blue for now.
the remake is also bc of the pacing, toei unfortunately has to slow down the pacing (you'll notice futher on) so that they don't caught up to the manga (since they do it weekly non stop, and need enough material to adapt)

Oh did not know people had issues with pacing as well.
@@SAMISYOP you’ll understand. it gets worse post time skip

Are you going to react to it when it comes out ?
Ow definitely!!😍😍
25:58 its seasonal tho, so every year i think is 1 arc.

Yeah its a translation issue. They mean series but Japanese translation can treat certain words the same.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Its gonna be episode for sure, longterm
I'm happy for this Remake but old version of OP is much better🥰
So we'll see a proper Rayleeg look at the Shanks/Buggy flashback? But what about the discounted look? 🤣🤣
the remake is also bc of the pacing, toei unfortunately has to slow down the pacing (you'll notice futher on) so that they don't caught up to the manga (since they do it weekly non stop, and need enough material to adapt)
toei is involved in this, so it's fine
Did not know that! Nice👏🏾👏🏾
I pretend the live action doesn’t exist. One piece is perfect the way it is fr😭😭😭
Hahaha damn😂
You don't like the live action at all?
How far are they animating?🤔
Its seasonal anime.
only the east blue saga it's confirmed at the moment!
They said they want to do it completely if it gets good reaction
are you slow in the head? bc they said it multiple times in the video
ngl my enthusiasm was tempered a bit when they talked ab "film". hope its just a mistranslation or something
Yeah judging by what the others are saying, it must be bad translation 😅
One piece get remake😈
Meanwhile naruto💀
Man I would love to see a remake of the OG naruto episodes😩😭
It is not a movie, it's episodes.
The translation is just bad
