Thanks Chris. I always seem to get a pile-up on Fan Fawr. I've just looked through my back catalogue and I had a pile-up the last time I operated there. Probably has a particularly good take off? That summit has been good to me over the years!
Beautiful day for being outdoor on HF radio. How nice is listening far from man-made noise, isn’t it? Looking at you I thought to suggest you one thing used on aviation. It’s called kneeboard and it can come in very handy. There are different models also with light for dark operation. Take a look at yourself because I think I cannot paste links here. All the best 73 Diego
Hi Diego. The low noise is a definite benefit of operating portable! Good suggestion about the knee board. I might still have one laying around the house somewhere from my flying days (my pilots licence has lapsed now unfortunately).
@@AmateurRadioUK what a coincidence! I used the board back in the days during my vfr training flight. Today I’m a commercial pilot, and believe it or not I miss those days of real flying. What a pitty for your license. Maybe one day you’ll be back… Best wishes
You ARE one of the big guns of portable operation!
Great work james 👏 look forward to the next one:) 73
Beautiful scenery! Think I might look to Wales for our next holiday, it looks FAB.
That look a nice Summit and you certainly had decent WX for this one. Well done James and nice pile up on 20m. 73 Chris M0RSF

I had to work sadly, would have been nice to say a quick ello ello.
I'm sure there'll be plenty more opportunities. Maybe next time.
