The mixing is so different, and it really brings out each instrument. It's great. The intro of the guitar is also really good, like it's reminding you it's a familiar song.
Finally, I have found this Evangelion track again. This was the first of the Evangelion soundtrack that I ever heard. It was back in 2018. I enjoyed it. I listened to it as background music, while playing an FPS game (yes, out of all games lol). Yet despite that moment, I - now regretfully - moved on the next day, forgetting to take note of the title of the track. After getting more into Evangelion recently, I vaguely remembered this as part of the soundtrack (memory of the album cover and one of the comments stating 'elevators' and 'headquarters' contributing as well). I only had a vague idea of what Eva was back then. During that same year - 2018, I was into Shin Godzilla. Just before this, I was enjoying another track titled "Early Morning From Tokyo", also by Shiro Sagisu (as I would later find out). Further research made me learn that Godzilla had a collab with Evangelion (of course). That, combined with this track left quite an impression (albeit an inaccurate one) of what I thought Evangelion was supposedly about: it's an anime, it has good music, UN, Godzilla, and... Cowboy Bebop? (I did not even know much about CB then lol!) Nevertheless, despite now knowing what was the anime was actually is, I still enjoy this Bossa Nova.
the evangelion series is just so wild and amazing especially the rebuilds, never seen so much detail and work put into an anime, it is insane and insane story fights and visuals, the background near always has sometime nice to look at and the rebuilds are just such vibe

The best thing I've heard these days, bless everyone who does Evangelion jazz, the moment it turns into a kind of swing is perfect too!
Indeed.
EVANGELION + BOSSA NOVA + JAZZ = BEST COMBO OR WHAT?!
I mean, bossa nova is heavily jazz-influenced, to begin with...

In the PSP Evangelion games it does.
As we know the elevators are silent.
@@WheatIey that's fantastic
The song was composed by Neal Hefti for the 1963 Broadway play "Barefoot in the park" which was made into a movie in 1967.

Heavily influenced by bossa nova, with several quotes from Girl From Ipanema in here

I cannot get enough of this song. The swing part makes me want to burst with joy, and the end, just superb.
