Her dressage she looked beautiful and made the showjumping look easy! Such a shame about Xc, but you know you went home safely and with a sound horse! Good luck for your next event 💙
Hi from "still to hot" Florida! Great job Jancis for a very entertaining video!! The banter was fun! MARES!! Super scores on your dressage 👍showjumping 👍 XC 🙆🥴!!!
A good friend has just landed in Florida and is traumatising us with lovely photos of beautiful beaches and blue skies. I raise you grey skies, wind and mud.
I work it out as 5% of it going well is what keeps the addiction alive. Mind you got bucked off Insey yesterday and I was NOT happy. A lack of work of work as been nursing a lose shoe.. Horrible horse!
You 2 crack me up 🤣 you have got to laugh about it because life is just too short . Dressage was lovely the halt was just a hormone moment. SJ great definitely regulate here we come 😝but good to know for future late in the season . I really thought it was going to be your day but hormones said differently, great attitude guys you are 🤩 all the way .
You and Jancis having the mad bants was hilarious! Incey went so well in the dressage and showjumping, such a shame she didn't like the ditch on the cross country. In fairness it did look a bit odd, with the grass then the woodchip that must've looked like the Grand Canyon to the horses, no wonder so many of them went "You wot mate?!" and noped out. Course builder could have painted the edges of the ditch a lighter colour 💖
Shame as could be a lovely galloping track but it was strange design and layout. Very small and trappy. Some odd distances as well, oh well, a good Xc horse should go round any course so no excuses. See what happens at Cirencester 🤞
Aww just love Insey. I don’t blame her not liking the dragon ditch 🐉 Her dressage was so good considering the rain and a lovely showjumping round. A wise decision to retire as she wasn’t feeling her usual self. Am sure Bicton will be her day ❤❤
Sometimes they have off days so no point getting stressed about it. Go home, check the horse is 100% and train a little better. Hopefully have my normal horse back for the next outing.
@@hopefullyeventingeven if we don’t, at least we properly tried. I have done a video on how much I have spent this year on eventing and it’s horrifying 😭
@@theeventingjourney232 yikes. I'll be watching that one, Im yet to get out and it would be ideal to know what to expect. As you say though if you're not trying to do it you're not gonna qualify....well deserved if you do though 🤞
I’ve not even watched any of the horsey bit yet but I’m just chuckling away at Birmingham being “north” and it being cold 😂 I travelled 3 hours from the other direction! You’d both need about 17 layers up here 😂😂
You looked very smart in your navy coat 🧥. Insey looked great. If eventing was easy and predictable, it wouldn't be fun. Onwards and upwards from here.
Your mare is gorgeous! Im so sorry you had such horrible weather. I think you both rode that test well, considering neither wanted to work in the rain.
Your mare was just looking for excuses, that happens when they're in heat. I had one mare who was a foolish nightmare when in heat and I've had others who would barely show. You handled everything well and you'll go on to have triumphant days!
Mares definitely think quicker and have more about them than geldings (sorry Robbie) they also have some negatives which is they can be a pain in the arse! Always learning with horses. Wouldn’t life be dull if we knew it all.
Hello from Australia. Anyone who interacts with other species knows about this kind of day. On the weekends you go to stately homes and parks for picnics and exercise. Anything else is a bonus. Jancis saying "who knows what they see" reminded me that horses don't see the same colours that we do. If the XC obstacles were viewed in black & white would there be enough contrast for them to be not difficult or not scary? Or would some markings look like eyes etc?
Would be nice though, wouldn’t it for one little qualification? Oh well it’s horses and I know she will keep going up the levels so if it doesn’t happen it doesn’t and will have to rely on zeros in 4 years time
What a shame. Those hormones have a lot to answer for!.... the dressage was very nice, under difficult conditions, which was nicely acknowledged by the judges. I've not seen her bouncy buck behind in a while....😅. The XC was causing a few issues I think. I follow Meg Elphick, and although she was in a different class, she had a stop/step back sadly. Still it was a good event and the blue jacket was very smart.
Hi both well done for sharing your day, as the wether was so all full . The dressage didn't look to bad . S.j . Clear round , x.c. sorry it wasent your day . Take care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍💖💟
Probably a bit of PMT! She spooked at the dice one and that made her suspicious of the next one which was a bit spooky because of the different surface for the ditch. But good dressage even though she didn't like the rain, and good show jumping.
This is Insey. We must do a proper meet the horses. We are two friends who share a YT channel so have a few horses between us. I (Lucy) have Insey and Robbie. Jancis has Nova. We also have some nearly 3yo who we bred and Jancis has an ex racer called Eagle and a mule.
@@theeventingjourney232 Oooh. Sorry. I somehow misrepresented myself. I know you Lucy with Insey and Robbie (I do not know his correct name!) and I am aware of Jancis and Nova. But I do not know either Jancis nor Nova’s full correct names so I can’t follow them on the apps. ❤️
That was weird. Only you know how she felt. Strangely she did not seem to be up to the xcountry at all. Maybe it is those blasted hormones. What a flipping weird day. Sorry for all the money and time you have given but thank you for taking us with you in the real world. Love you all xxx
Luckily it’s not our day jobs and we don’t have owners threatening to remove horses. I think that’s why we can be a bit more ‘real’ rather than insta perfect.

Thanks - tbh it wasn’t brilliant!! But that was totally my fault for not doing good prep. I like to think I learn from my mistakes…. We will see!!

Entertaining and informative as always. The pros and cons of horses are somewhat unbalanced but we carry on. Well done 👏👏👏

Not sure it will be my bank accounts day! Home made gifts for everyone at Christmas!
I think you rode so well! But Linsey wasn’t feeling it today, and the conditions looked awful, I absolutely love her, what a gorgeous mare ❤
Thanks - she is a big athlete. Normally very sweet as a person as well and loves a spa day!
This mare is a picture. Sometimes they do just say what????? Well done for the stoicism !

Bless her in that dressage, of course, and you Lucy. What awful weather. Glad you're home safe and sound, It's such a shame when you were so close.

Thanks - pretty lucky a homebred turned out so nice. Quality mare and stallion is a good start.

We are both pampered princesses and hate the rain! It’s why you don’t see me drag hunting in the winter - rain and mud 😱, no thanks!
Thank you for vlogs love them Lucy.❤❤❤
Jancis next week, finally with an upturn of performance!
Nice to just enjoy the dressage with out any talking, lots to like
Thanks - glad you think it works. No point me gabbling on as you want to see why I got the marks and how!
You rode great in stadium! She wasn’t making it easy. Oh well two out of three phases were great😀
