At some point rarran will realize the "Profit" at the end of the day is literally just the difference between your money at the end of the last day and this day, so just because he's "in the red" does not mean the business goes bad lol
Fortunately, he doesn't have to actually feed his family off of it. He'd be forced to sell them too
Funny enough, "Profit" being in the red without any losses is usually why big companies make the most ridiculously greedy business decisions to make up the "loss"
His wife wouldn't be single, so chat definitely wouldn't have allowed him to sell her.

I love this game! My very first pack, my very first day, included a $300 card and that kickstarted making my shop having 3 tables, new shelves, card singles and extended shop size by Day 2.
I know the non-HS videos don't do as well, and they don't always hit, but this was really fun. I think the balanced between enthusiasm and banter (because it's not a super stressful game) worked well.
I love that car salesman energy that Rarran exudes.

I played the demo after watching this stream and noticed that most of my profits were from selling deodorant and letting people use my tables. Was wondering if maybe I should just become a deodorant store.

Any sort of business management type game will always be way easier than real life. In Rollercoaster Tycoon for example, it's really easy to make a park that your janitors would have to work an entire month just to be able to afford the entry fee, even if said park is just 10 Merry-Go-Rounds stacked on top of each other.

If you click the spot you want to place the card and click the card you want there it auto places, if you didnt know.
Furniture also grid snaps together now.
And if a customer pays with card you can use your numpad on the keyboard to type the payment.
Not trying to be a backseater its just a bunch of tips i learned while playing.

The auto cleanser is only good if you put 2 at the entrance (so they get cleansed immediately)

I mean the moral of all of this is owning a card shop requires a lot of work outside of business hours. Ideally you open packs after hours and restock.

Watched this live, great fun. I own the game now too and the weird thing is I can't keep singles on the shelf for the life of me. They keep flying off, even the 200+ dollar ones sell like crazy.
Have you tried selling cards instead of humans?
Customer have a set amount of money based on your store level and the amount of expansions. I have watched the entire video but its likely he couldnt sell high value cards because his customers didnt have enough money for them
