Thank you so much!!!!! I hate hate hate HATE cognitive psychology. I have my resit in 2 weeks and finally found someone who explains it without using massive words I don't understand!!!!!! xxxx
thank you for this video - i have read four different degree text books - and none of them are able to explain this. Having watched your clip - i have actually understood something. i did not experience any trouble with the video as some other people have described. Please keep posting psych vids - they help :-)
thank you so much! could you please make more videos about visual word rcognition (serial search model logogen model etc.) i understood better this video than the pages in my book
I have a cognitive psychology test in the morning and it's 1 AM. My textbook cannot explain this concept well at all! It's a shame because it's actually very simple, as you prove!
At 2:21 - 2:25 I do say that other letter units - not shown in the picture - WOULD be activated. The letter "b" is one such. However, "leab" is not a word, so there would not be a "leab" word unit competing with the word unit "leap".
This was fantastic! I was wondering if you could possibly help with an essay title i am stuck on, i'm a but confused what it wants me to talk about "To what extent do we use wholistic visual cues when reading?" Thank you for your help
SO helpful and useful for my revision! I finally understand what it the strange diagram in my notes means

You explain it in a simple way. Most psy writers do not have this skill.

Very precise and clear demonstration! Thank you very much!
Is it similar to McClelland and Elman's 1986 TRACE model?

thank you so much for this video, it was extremely helpful and easy to understand
at 2:29, how does that explain why the letter "b" would not be activated instead of "p"?
Thank you so much! Your explanation really helped me understand this concept.
All hail Hardman and his report explaining powers. Saved my bacon
Thank you for the video. It's so vaguely described in my book!
