I used to be in a band with johno called "NEON KELLY" he played guitar I played bass. Johno and his girlfriend at the time wrote the music, it was great music to play. Steve(drums in Karnivool) filled in for our drummer once with 2 days notice and he played perfectly.
I got to meet Jon and check out his studio. He is always looking for new ways to improve his tone. The fact that he couldn't get a 5 string bass and went with a 6 says a lot about his dedication to his craft. The Alpha/Omega pedal is one mean effect, Goliath is based on that pedal.
The version of Aeons you're playing is quite interesting too, as it has synth drums and an outro that more resembles the live version with the extra stuff on the end... is it a demo?
That's introversion for you. You can tell he is quite the introverted character. We tend to not want to speak about or explain things to people. It becomes sort of a task and can be boring for us, so in turn it appears that way. Low key, we want it to end asap.
Damn! The content must have been so interesting. Too bad is so poorly filmed about 2/3 the info are just not there !!! Shaky camera all the way thru, almost nothing is in focus and the camera is just not pointing on the matter anyway . What's even the point of publishing that ? A proportional video for a company is supposed to show how professional you are, this show the exact opposite ! Even the sound is crappy : come on guys, isn't audio supposed to be your prime competence ? The title should be changed to "how to ruin a great opportunity to learn about great bass tone" I really don't understand that.
Jon Stockman: reinventing the modern bass hero.

He has a more complicated rig than their two guitarists
Hippie Killer bait?
@@kangsk8er Dude clearly there's no room for creativity in your imagination.. better stay in your mental box
Hot Lettuce not this band. Enjoy
Crap camera positioning,he goes "this one here etc"and the camera shows his face most of the time wtf! Sorry
That tremolo issue is just pain, i've never been able to really sort out the neverending loop issue.

The Helsinki gig was amazing!
the dude is quite lost with his gear :D 9:55
Believe you're using a OM series of Audix mics for the audio... I'd recommend using a cardiod i5 for the next time ;)
great interview! greetings \m/

+Mike Geiger It's an uncut version they play live.
Where can I get the instrumental version of the album? Love hearing the music without the vocals
Good Question! I love the Music. But I really don't like the Vocals :(
Jon's a super killer innovative player. Been fortunate enough to see them live once.
Can anyone tell whats the track that's playing in the background?
It’s definitely aeons
Does anyone know if he has any compression/sustainer pedal? Can´t spot one in this video tho
Interesting, but absolutely painful video to watch.

@@No_Enemies_Kale i think he was more referring to the camera work
Interesting video but the voices are way too quiet.
Theoretically it should be possible to beat sync the tremolo's oscillator to the switch
Chris Pratts alter ego. great comedian and great bass player
THAT'S QUITE HANDY ACTUALLY.
Y cual es la parte 1???
What a mess...
