This means that this was one of a small number of machines released to be TESTED for dependability and service. The "S" is even stamped into the wood of the cabinet! What will we find as we restore this machine for its new owner?

watched a full gameplay video of Hot Shots... the sounds are amazing. incredible. favorite. The cymbal smash on the one bumper .. usually I'm a bumper fan and dont like tables with less than 3. but even the one knocking all those drop targets omg. Brilliant. If you could combine this with some elements of Funhouse ..removing the seizure inducing strobe that would be the ultimate.

Most Haunted House pinball machines are in really rough condition, TNT Amusements as usual did an incredible job restoring it.

I wasn't sure on my thoughts on Haunted House at first glance despite being a Black Hole ( which makes it the coolest cabinet) ... but as soon as I heard that synthesized organ arpeggio from the drop targets I fell in love.. I feel like I'd rather have one of these or Class of 1812 over Addams Family (not that I could afford 20k that they're going for on ebay) as far as theming... It's not as "dark" as AF or Stokers Dracula but there's something really fun and interesting about Gottliebs approach to "horror".. The clucking chickens to 1812 overture and a clown. .. It could be perceived as corny but just look at that ramp on Hot Shots and that strange PG rated but somehow sexy back glass. yet with the white squirty stuff at the flippers.. Is Gottlieb Williams superior? my gathering is they're built more solid but do they actually have an overall edge for all criteria?
Most people will say that The Addams Family is superior and while I agree with them, there's no doubt that Haunted House is an absolute classic and one of Gottlieb's best tables. I'm not really a fan of Class of 1812 but there's just so many things about Haunted House to like. The art and the theme of the table is fantastic as a Halloween-seasoned table, the attic area works really well, feels fun and satisfying to hit the ball back up into (from both directions) and the basement is so cool and challenging to rack up scores and go for the special award.
LED's and refurbishing the playfield makes the table absolutely shine and look incredible, the music perfectly fits, it's just a table where everything in it is worth shooting for and the essential mod for the table is to get the boards that allow for scores to roll past 999,999 which'll read 1-MIL and then the score (or if going over 1,999,999 will then read 2-MIL and then the score) and keeps it recorded post-game so you can keep track of any scores that were over 999,999. Getting over 999,999 isn't too tough so it's essential imo to get the boards that display full scores beyond 999,999. But yes Haunted House restored with LEDs (but not superbrights, they're blinding) makes the table just look AMAZING and it's so much fun and challenging to play.
