Well done, Tony. Always pleased to be introduced to a variety of products! Lately, I've been enjoying DSC's 4-blade razor. All the best from Carla and Karl.
The Philips OneBlade has made foil and rotary shavers obsolete, I used to own a Braun series 3 and then got a series 7, it doesn't get any use since I got my OneBlade. Whenever I feel like shaving electrically, it's the OneBlade for me, that and it is great for body shaving as well, good luck doing that with a foil or rotary... auwtch 😅
I LITERALLY just picked up a Braun Series 3 razor 2 days ago, I really like it a lot, doesn't get ALL the hairs but with it getting cooler out I kind of like the stubble there, doesn't irritate my face too much. I use cream with it too and you don't have to just SOLELY use it dry. I like it but I am always willing to try new things!
Thanks Tony for giving a review of an electric razor (it has been a while), I don't think it was ever going to tackle that type of growth though. I had a Braun series 5 foil razor for around 5 years before it died, I'm using the Phillips rotary 7000 now for a quick daily shave. The Braun was excellent in the shower, the Phillips I think is better but, only with a dry shave. Still wet shave on a Sunday though.
That’s the key to foil shavers I guess - great for the daily touch ups, but they struggle with longer stubble. That’s why I love OneBlade - it just works for long, short, wet or dry - BAM! 💥
Thanks for your video. I previously saw that the BaByliss Pro Foil Shaver received excellent reviews. One review by a barber highly recommended it, *but* with multi-day growth recommended using a trimmer *before* using the BaBlyiss Pro Foil Shaver. Maybe do a follow-up video starting with your Philips Norelco OneBlade, then finish with the Microtouch Titanium Rovor and see if it can provide a shave as close as finishing up with your Leaf Twig. Personally, after years of experimenting with various razors, I prefer starting off a shave with a single edge razor using Feather Artist Club blades, which are thicker, wider, comfortable (once one learns how to use them) and efficient than almost all of the aggressive double edge razors I have to use. The RazoRock Hawk V3 open comb (with a Feather Professional Super blade, which is the most aggressive) easily plows through heavy beard growth, though it may be too aggressive for many. For the closest shave, I follow up with an iKon Tech, but with the lightest touch. Doing a full shave of heavy beard growth with an iKon Tech won't be as comfortable and efficient, since this razor design and thinner double-edge blades, seem best suited to clearing out any persistent beard stubble other razors leave behind. Should you care to look into a single-edge razor, various reviewers (including Stubble Meets Steel, Sig Solo and Subie Shaves) have recommended the brass version of the single edge Shield AC (Artist Club) razor - by Shieldrazors Store - on AliExp for around 50 USD. They also offer aluminum, stainless steel and titanium versions, but the heft and cost of the brass version might make it preferable.
Welcome back brah, imo foil razor is for everyday shave for those that can´t use a DE or cartridge razor or if you shave everyday with a blade and need a a quick one if your´re in a hurry Foil don´t do well like you found out with longer stubbles rotator as well though it can´t do slightly longer stubbles in my personal experience when i saw how long your beard was i thought ooooh ooooh ouch Ain´t doing to do well. anyways great shaving video, stay safe, cheers....Peter
Yeah, not ever trying any other foil shaver again, especially not this one. The major downfall with foil shavers is how POORLY they work with the neck area and leave lots of stubble and irritation behind. I struggle to look past that con. This razor looks like a total piece of crap. Rotaries for the win! You have to try the Philips Norelco 5400! Best rotary razor ever under 100$ and gives amazing shave! It gets those darn stubborn neck hairs and a close shave, no irritation, and has a pivoting head that will work with your face contnours. Got it at Meijer earlier today because I wanted to go in store to pick a brand new quality rotary razor up, but I didn't want to do it online. Picked up some Harry's Shave Gel and their disposable razors too! Going to have to give them a go. Philips does it right!
the hair was far too long for the shaver. Foil shavers really need the hair to be short to work well. Some have good enough non foil cutting elements as well to make it work ok, but most just do this. If you trim the hair first, it will be a night and day difference.
Thank you! Yes - it makes sense. It’s been a looong time since I used a foil shaver and I never really had much success with them back in the day, but I’ll give this product another crack and I’ll mention your comment in the video. 👋🏽
No disrespect to leaf twig users but I hated the one that I bought myself on Amazon at the time i used it right and it didn't cut the hairs at all I was very disappointed
Typically, a rotary shaver will shave a lot quicker and closer than a foil shaver, but still fails in comparison to a DE or even a cartridge razor, they're no quicker and nowhere near as close and can still cause a fair bit of irritation around the neck area. (Even the top of the range models like the Philips S9000 and Braun Series 9), then when you factor in the cost of some of these contraptions along with head replacement/cleaning fluid etc., it just doesn't add up. Great video though Tony! 👊

I couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching 👋🏽
This is great, funny video. Love it, thank you for the time you had to spend on this🌲
Thanks for watching 👋🏽
Would you consider making an entire asmr video shaving with an erazor? I love that sound!
That’s an interesting question. Maybe I’ll do it.

@@averageguytested also, this "rover" looks like it's just a piece of crap..but just looks cool in the packaging and marketing and advertising, etc
You never have any luck with those MicroTouch products, Tony. Glad the Twig was around!
Truth - thanks for watching 👋🏽

They do a great job! Thanks for watching 👍🏽
Have you done a supply razor vs a Henson yet
I’ve never reviewed the supply razor. It’s on the list, but nahhh - thanks for watching 👋🏽
Have you tried shaving powder yet? You apply it and then just wipe the stubble off with a towel.
I haven’t, but I’d be worried about the chemicals being absorbed into my skin. Have you tried it?
@@averageguytested no. Just saw a video.
I'm sure it's better for a daily shaver not for 3 or more days growth but still.. For 60 bucks you'd expect more.
I agree. I’ll have to test it again - maybe a shave wars against OneBlade.
Philips electric razors for the win!
Indeed.
can anyone recommend a good rotary shaver figured id ask
I’ve never had much success with rotary shavers. I’ll ask the viewers to chime in during an upcoming video.

I had the same experience until I tried a feather blade in the twig. Felt like a whole different razor.
@@jakeallama22 oh okay well I don't have the leaf twig and won't buy it again but that's good to know
Really? Too mild?
@@averageguytested I think so yeah
Perfect Shave Tony🪒😘👌
Thanks, brah!
At about vacum trim by bell and Howell

Return that rover shaver!!! All terrain Garbage😭
Ha ha - thanks for watching 👋🏽
Man I wish you could get a refund. There are better quality brands out there.

Maybe for you, but I've never had luck with rotary shavers. Foil has been far superior for me.
Thanks, brah!
You need to buy a mid price razor. $200 at the most.
First
Thanks for being #1
Chubby fingers...that have a Hemi at his disposal....now.....JUST BUY THE BLOODY BRAUN SERIES 9 PRO!...but you are not a patient man....
