Well done Zarina. You are truly an adult now. You have experience, hard work, respect for others, bad and good moments, the courage to quit something, your own thoughts and strength within yourself. You are truly shaped by life. And all this with the modesty that comes from understanding. I haven't met many mature adults. I love you as a Human :) Thank God for being here
I was just crying this afternoon, because I felt very lost... I couldn’t draw what I wanted to. My colors are bad and so is my perspective. But thank you so much, your video encouraged me so much to just keep being dedicated in art! Thank you, and I love your artworks very much! The colors look absolutely amazing, I thought you were born with a good sense of color, but I didn’t know all the struggles you went though... this is truly inspiring!
I’m so happy to hear that my story inspired you! I think that crying sometimes is absolutely fine. Artists are emotional. Just don’t think that it’s the end. It’s just a beginning of your art journey - full of happiness and frustration. Just don’t give up ❤️
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Layton Koa thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you for creating this video! I only started drawing at 21 and I honestly felt worried I could never learn to be professional at that age. It's really inspiring. Thank you❤️
I’ve never related so much to something. Thank you for being honest about this because it feels so intimidating to see amazing artists and to learn for yourself. Your English was very good!
Hello! This was a great video. I have also had art as a hobby for the longest time and I often doubt my abilities thinking that I'm not naturally good at a lot of the things that other people seem to do so easily. So, this is really inspiring and it makes me want to work harder. I'm sorry that you had to go through all the parts and I really hope you're doing better now. :) And your English is amazing!
Hello Zarina. Thank you for sharing your art, your experience and your thoughts. It's been really useful...special "how not to give up" paiting and overcoming obstacles.
You really inspire me a lot....you know what I was really depressed about my oil painting...because I was trying my best..but the improvement was really slow...but after Watching this video I am confident that yeah, I can do it...no matter it’s good or bad...let's try..
Zarina, you’re so inspiring and i wouldn’t hesitate to say that you’ve made me feel so so positive throughout the process i’m going through. I do feel dissatisfied after every piece but the little improvement in them each is so motivating. I don’t have enough money to buy a canvas or be a patron and that’s completely fine because practice is the key and your videos have actually helped me blend the shades better. I would never be able to DM you all this but you inspire me everyday, everytime i hold my brush. I can do better. Practise, that’s all i need. And that helps a lot. Your previous videos and the ones you post on instagram helped me make my first skin tones (They were not accurate, obviously, but they have helped a lot throughout these 4 months of learning oil.) I’m not sure about the question because i’m a beginner( don’t even know the exact names of the shades i use because some are difficult to pronounce) maybe blue (there are a hundred blues but i think the basic one) should be added to make the upper skin tone? Maybe, i’m not sure. Also, keep inspiring ❤️ I love you and your works loads
I feel dissatisfied almost always! There are so many amazing artworks around so the pressure is high. You are right that you don't judge the result but pay attention to improvement! I'm so happy to hear that! I would go for white + yellow + and a tiny bit of ivory black (it's similar to blue when mixed with white) to cool the color a bit.
Thank you Zarina for your nice video about you and your art's progression. It is very inspring. Nice reference for the russian anatomy academy of Repin. I have also myself difficulty with colors. At first my arts were only black & white and I discover the colorwheel. And my arts change.
Ive been in a great dillema these years of i always wanted to draw but never dedicated myself to ir and ended up wasting time on computer games and not practicing art at all and you inspired me to do art cuz that what i always loved to do but never was much interested in it cuz i didnt know how to learn to draw and now thar i understand thanks to u i found my way im really glad i found ur chanel. ♡♡
Thanks for you videos, I got a similar way in my life, but it finish into Tattoo Artist, I want to improve my skills of painting, and I restart from 0 with oils, (wich is very depressing when you’re good in tattoo and bad at painting) Your videos are very interesting, and thanks for tips to avoid mistakes ! As a Tattoo Artist specialized in realism black and grey, I feel exactly same when you spoke about beginnings with mixing colors, finishing into horrible mud. (I think we followed the same class for classic painting, Farges? ) What helped me most recently is your videos with a simple palette. Thanks again, your english is perfect ! ))
Zarina, thank you so much for sharing your journey. It is invaluable to know that even great artists such as yourself struggled too. Your humbleness and humility in sharing your own weaknesses and how you worked through them to achieve your goals will inspire us. Thank you
You can't even imagine the great inspiration you mean to me. I love seeing your work, it's amazing. I really enjoyed this video, I would really appreciate a second part! it's great to hear you, greetings from Argentina

You're my favorite artist now. I thank the TH-cam algorithm for recommending your channel to me. Continue to do your work. You are inspiring a lot of us! 💗💓💔🌸
Thank you for this video that i found very interesting and quite Reassuring and encouraging at the same time! I'm a hobbyist selftaught artist and I smiled when you mentioned your difficulties with colors! I have the same love & hate relationship with them at the moment. Love them but am not very good at it. Currently I'm focusing more on b&w practice, proportions and values but I might try this limited palette you mentioned in the video! Thank you for the tips and of course, congrats on your amazing work, this is stunning! Cecile
Beautiful inside and out 😍. Your art is incredible. Although you started out having to learn the basics like anyone else, we can see the effort in every piece you have worked on.
Thank you for sharing your story, Zarina. I feel like I’ve there for all these years. Until last year, I decided to give art another try and it seems that is working. Thank you for reassuring us that we don’t have to go an art school, but instead practice and practice. I look forward to more of your content. Cheers from NYC.

Hi Zarina, thank you for sharing your advices. I don't know if you've heard but the Repin drawing method is available in english on New Masters Academy. A graduate from the Repin institute is teaching it. There are some free (and long) previews on youtube.

I would go for white + yellow + and a tiny bit of ivory black (it's similar to blue when mixed with white) to cool the color a bit.
A bit more yellow to get a more peachy color. White to get it lighter and a smal amount of black to make it less saturated
Yes! And that’s the exact order in which I would do that 😄
