    Underrated in views, but he has the most critically acclaimed solo work especially with non Kpop listeners. His music is I guess more complicated to go through, but we do love him alot. RM is aware his music is not for everyone and I think he is okay with it.

    I’m a couple decades older than RM but I find him intimidating. He’s so mature, cultured, thoughtful and thought-provoking, talented, well spoken, funny, honest… There are very few people like that in this world. Maybe Obama and Jon Stewart, still RM is more talented than both (maybe even smarter with his 148 IQ). It’s intimidating as heck.

    I love your discussion about the meaning of the song. Songs mean different things to everyone who listens. It depends on your perspective influenced by your life experiences. I have always found that RM can write songs that show depression and self reflection really well. It helps a lot of people recognize and deal with those feelings.

    • @7Flowers1Dream
      @7Flowers1Dream 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      True. “I forgot the hour, I don’t wanna know about the hour. I forgot to shower, it’s a waste of time to wash my face” = Very relatable if you’ve ever experienced depression. Losing track of time, losing interest in things, normal routines seeming pointless or exhausting, etc. I recognize all of them.

    He should never change his art to be accepted. The world will catch up to him soon and he will find his audience ❤,honestly i didnt listen to this particular genre until he made this album now i find myself exploring other artist with similar musical spectral. His music really does open you up to sounds you never thought of and i love it

    Poppier songs will always be more popular. Unfortunately, artsier pieces will not get the same recognition. I love that RM is willing to explore his creativity and experiment with it. It’s not getting the same love from the general public, but more music critics are showing appreciation. It’s honestly great because each member can branch out and reach different audiences and reel them back to BTS. RM is one of the members that is garnering more respect from music lovers because people unfamiliar with BTS think they’re just some generic poppy boyband. RM opens people’s minds.
    I love that RMs music makes me think and self reflect. But there are a lot of people who don’t look for that or don’t care. I’ve had conversations with non bts fans and they said “why do I care about what they have to say? Music is my entertainment. I just want to hear or see something that looks good or sounds good”. I’ve also tried to show this music video to someone else and they wanted to turn it off first 5 secs…because they were expecting an “idol” but the visuals were not what they were expecting. I guess there are people out there that don’t care for artistry or creativity 🤯

    I value this song highly as the reality of feelings of depression. RM is underrated by BTS fans but highly acclaimed. He is just built different as a musician. He went through a lot of stress and difficult times as leader and main songwriter of BTS and that’s why this album is so raw and honest. I can’t want to hear his next work.

    To me, he's asking his own self to come back to him. First, he's not happy with himself. He feels hollow. After finding his alma mater, he feels secure to face any kind of situation, and keep going to find new paths, not just those the society expects from him (be a husband, a boyfriend, etc).
    Imho, he's wrapping the album telling us: "Now i know who I am and doing what I want to do."

    If you see out of all bts members RM has most broad discography which has something for listeners of every genre like if you want to listen to his hip hop hard core rap then Rap monster,joke,do you are there,if want to listen to slow peaceful songs then go for his first mixtape Mono(still my fav),heaven and if you want to listen to song with little bit of pop influence then Indigo album and offcourse RPWP has alternate r and b,hip hot and many more genre.
    Honestly his discography is least apriciated among all the members but if you see them artistically,lyricaly Rm is up there.I hope his music is promoted as much as other members so that the right audience catch his discography.
    I am an Army who is JK biased but my fav album/mixtape is MONO by Rm and their are many like me.Talking about musically Jhope is also one of the most underrated among them but trust me he and rm are 🔥

    About the little kid, the whole album is abt being the wrong person in the right place. RM is feeling conflicted throughout these moments in his life, he feels like he doesnt fit in, he is not loving in that moment. He turns into a child at times, he wasnt even living as himself during that time. But once he accepts to live in the moment, the child turns to a child, he is no longer always living in the past, he is living in the present. In the mv he is in search for spring, which might personify happiness, living in the moment, letting go of past & not be worried abt future, the woman is spring/himself/or even a potential partner there is no one answer to this.

    i have an interpretation:
    i think that the female figure(the one with short hair- i think kim minha?) represents RM- maybe his Amina or maybe his inner self, his confused version but in another form. you can see that bcz she does the same actions as namjoon.(when he is walking through the corridors all confused, she is doing the same thing as him and that scene in the end when namjoon looks back and sees another version of himself and then the original namjoon who looked back and is replaced by the woman, and they walk to the sofa. i think he chose a female for that cuz maybe he wanted to express that fearful and emotionally vulnerable part of himself through a woman's manifestation) the door represents the different choices in life that he can choose (marriage, staying single, doing nothing etc) and he talks about how it is our life and we can make whatever choice that we want and its not important to go according to what the society says (he says it in the lyrics:" you don't have to be anything you see, trying not be something in this sea").
    he says that we can break the stereotypes even but what matters is that we are happy. then he shows himself being happy in all the situations he presented previously and saying that whatever path you choose for yourself, the outcome will be good bcz you are happy so everything will be good! in the end his other self( the woman) takes him through the labyrinth(him and the woman being together choosing through the maze must signify that he has come to accept that this is the life he chose and its gonna be far from normal but he has reconciled with himself which is represented him laughing with that woman and waling with her in the end.

    RM has always been in an existential crisis. If you watch the documentary Rise of Bangtan there's a clip of him saying who am I? rapper? idol? leader? myself? He was handed the role of leader when he was 19! Can you imagine? Throughout the shows and documentaries you hear that theme. In this album he finally dumps it all and I'm glad he felt free to say it. It has gotten critical acclaim in a number of places. My own IQ is 140, it can be a heavy burden.

    This is actually about fitting into society's boxes and expectations in different situations and places. At the beginning, we see RM feeling uncomfortable because he's not the friend, the father, the lover and the son they were expecting him to be, and he tries to scape these realities. Then he finds a girl that is also trying to space these expectations and he sees himself reflected on her, literally. However, he tries to fit into these roles but soon realises that he's still not happy because he's just pretending to be "the" friend, father, lover and son people expect him to be and not his true self, so he scapes the house, which is a metaphor of society, with the girl and tries to find other houses and rooms who will fit him better. At the end of the day, we can't trully scape society expectations since we live in one, but we can try to live more comfortably and true to ourselves. I learnt this theory from a video that explained the MV and the lyrics, so I recommend you to check explanation videos when you don't understand something.

    Esta canción es como decís hipnótica y la melodía letra y mensaje es como una caricia al alma…Ser tan inteligente a RM le ha abierto un mundo de posibilidades como artista y ha logrado todos los reconocimientos con BTS, pero siento que por esa perspicacia también sufre mucho porque percibe muchas realidades que la gente promedio no. La gente como él a veces se siente sola e incomprendida aunque le rodee mucha gente. OT7💜

    Creo que chapter two es una apuesta hacia diversas direcciones del futuro de bts. Creo que hay 2 conclusiones:
    1. La visión de bh es capaz de capitalizar y expandir mucho más la fanaticada de bts. Su dirección y propuesta de producción musical ha demostrado que bts puede inclusive alcanzar nuevas alturas en charts a las del inicio de 2020.
    2. Artísticamente los mejores albums fueron hecho fueran de BH. Rpwp y Layover son joyas musicales. Eso demuestra la distintiva musicalidad de ambos respecto a bts y lo limitado que es bh y hybe américa inclusive tratando de hacer su mejor propuesta con sus mejores productores.
    3. Ambos hechos llega a un punto que no se complementan sino que se contraponen. Creo que una salida es que bh se encargue que bts, pues de demostró q su éxito no depende de su experimentación musical y que V y particularmente RM dejen de preocuparse por el legado del grupo pq puede crear un legado musical por si solos. Los estilos de ambos además son los más distantes al kpop, así además de trabajar en seguir explorando su musicalidad y creando un fandom que realmente aprecie la música y los géneros que usan. Y felices todos.

    Because simply ARMYS are not his fans he will realize it and leave them behind we hope 🙏🏾
    sadly the Bts fans are pop/visual/upbeat songs fans they’re never here for the music itself
    But I’m happy whatever he achieved it’s only because of his artistic talent not because of armys that’s the ugly truth

    I think K Pop Idol Music was designed by SM music to commercialize young female sensibilities for visually and morally perfect dolls to "idolize". RM, more than any of the other members, despite being called "The President " based on his ability to be eloquent and emotionally guiding, never truly fit the Idol visual mode. He has always had a musically experimental streak which goes outside the design of the Idol platform. As BTS still has a majority female fandom and RM's music trends more masculine, he doesn't get the repeat viewing that a Jimin or Jungkook might. But he is happy releasing his own creativity and that creativity pulls in new audiences, albeit in numbers less driven by Idol status. Many newbies engage him primarily as an artist. Ithink he is comfortable in that. Listen to Wildflower lyrics and I think you will be impressed how he expresses this desire to express outside the Idol platform.

      You are spot on! V falls into that category, as far as doing solo work that suits him, and not made to be chart climbers. He doesn’t base his decisions on numbers. I love that about Rm and V. Hobi went out there, on a limb, with his solo work. These guys are fearless.💜💜💜

      Anyone who categorized BTS as “another idol group” and leans on the stereotypes to “explain” BTS is a fraud as an Army and an “expert”. Most ludicrous is all the misinformation about BTS’ music and the source being “the idol system.” What kind of BTS and RM “expert” doesn’t know that RM is the primary lyricist for most BTS songs?? LMAO. What’s your deal, bro?

    • @ericweinman9447

      @hd7704 You are a perfect example of someone whose knee-jerk reacts without comprehending what you are reading. Then you attack based on mistaking even the basics of my message. I respect your right to express, certainly ARMY is a big tent. However, attacking a position you don't even take the time to comprehend and then give me the "bro" you're not real ARMY treatment is reckless devotion couched in self-indulgence. I have followed BTS closely since 2015 after watching their 3 day trip to Chicago a city that didn't even know who they were at the time. I have seen BTS both buck the system and utilize elements of the system over the years progressively growing their brand by making it readily identifiable and unique unto itself at the same time. What I didn't see, no matter how distinguishable BTS was, was BTS being apart from their cultural roots no matter how special and unique they are. I am sorry that someone like David Kim could say seeing BTS at the Rose Bowl was way more fun than in Seoul due to the gender diversity of the LA crowd. He was reflecting how many patrons in Korea were interpreting BTS with a cultural understanding that BTS music was gender targeted even though Idol platform connections were mostly tied to early corporate efforts to keep a struggling corporation monetized. That's how I see things, and like you I have right to exercise free speech so long as I try not to self-indulge. Haegum!

    • @hd7704

      @ericweinman9447 That's a lot of (still dishonest) words confirming you're just an American kpop multi who has had superficial "awareness" of BTS for a while but continuously mischaracterized them for dishonest or ideological reasons. ("Kpop" retains the most central and determinant position for every artist with a Korean name or face!!) You still haven't acknowledged that BTS is RM and RM is BTS! Stop being such a typical American by using superficial stereotypes of one culture, field, or genre to pretend to have expertise of vaguely related cases! You just admitted you still can't see BTS as anything apart from a reflection of Korean society or culture!! You are EXACTLY what I said you are! (Since you clearly hold stereotypes of BTS and Army, maybe you're imagining I'm one of the many "young female fans" you've intimidated or deceived in the past?) Hey, bro, it's cool if your devotion to Stray Kids or Black Pink blinded you! LOL. Just admit you were wrong and apologize for not yet embracing radical honesty (as a real Army would)!

    • @hd7704
      @hd7704 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ericweinman9447 And you are the perfect example of another annoying American - so insistent on his right to be heard, regardless of honesty or accuracy. You have the right to express your feelings, but not to your own set of facts. You clearly have always been a kpop multi who has had superficial knowledge of BTS, but kept them at arms length for whatever reason (Blink? Stray?). More problematic is you still clutch to broad stereotypes about kpop and Korea. You just admitted yourself that you don't see BTS as distinct from Korean "cultural roots." That's nothing beyond cultural stereotypes! Seriously, bro, stop misrepresenting BTS (and yourself), stop making things up, and stop being dishonest. Apologize and do better.
