Dzień dobry! In this video I try very hard to speak Polish and I'm so sorry for all the mistakes I make along the way - please forgive me! I think Polish is a beautiful language and I hope to do a better job when I've learned a little more. Dziękuję bardzo :)

your instinct about "mój chłopiec" was actually on point! "chłopiec" in Polish is a "little boy" and "my boyfriend", like the book was trying to translate, is "mój chłopak". so "chłopiec" - "a little boy", "mój chłopak" - "my boyfriend" and "chłopak" - "a boy"
I loved your video tho, your pronunciation is genuinely pretty good!
same with "my name is" - the book's "moje nazwisko to..." is literally "my surname is..." and what you mentioned "nazywam się..." is "I'm...", in literal translation "I call myself..."
you're already better than the book you're learning from :P

the book tells that polish "ć" sounds like english "ch" which isn't quite right. english "ch" is closer to polish "cz". even if example is "ch as in cheek" polish "ć" is much thinner in sound (if it makes sense to anyone reading this).

In my opinion your pronunciation is far better than you think it is. Also don't stress about how you say "ę" and "ą", even natives have a problem with that.

Nie wiedziałam że są anglicy którzy w przybliżeniu z małymi poprawkami brzmią jak polacy i takie słowa otuchy u nas też prawie wszyscy nie ogarniają polskiego bo nawet dla nas jest czasem za trudny do przetłumaczenia albo napisania życzę powodzenia w nauce

What made you want to learn polish?
I love how it sounds :) lots of very soft "sh" noises, if that makes sense? I think it's one of the most beautiful languages I've ever heard.
