I add 1/2 tsp of imitation flavor prior to adding the flour and baking powder. It just adds a little something. What I love most about this cake? It is a wonderful sweet without overwhelming sweetness. Excellent with a cup of coffee. Thank you so much. I look forward to trying more of your recipes, but right now I am stuck on this one! next week is coconut ;)

I made this today! It's in the oven now. I am gluten free so I had to use gluten free flour so we'll see how it turns out. I noticed as I was mixing that my yogurt was quite a bit thicker than hers. I will update when we try it. ▶️Update : It was very easy to make. It was very good! My yogurt was much thicker so I would probably add a little milk or cream to thin it a little but it still tasted good. It was almost the texture of cheese cake. While I was making it I thought the recipe didn't call for very much sugar so I added a tiny bit more. I think I still could have added more. I really liked the crumbly topping. I have never seen that method of freezing the dough and then grating it. Very clever. For my palate I would have enjoyed a little more sugar in the crust as well. Thank you! ▶️ Another update : my husband and I nibbled on this dessert for a few days. And with each passing day I found that this dessert became even more delicious. 😁
I just made this and had a piece. It’s delicious. Very light and tasty without being overly sweet. I only had about half the amount of plain yogurt that it calls for, so I substituted sour cream for the rest and added a teaspoon of vanilla to offset the sourness. It worked perfectly. This recipe is a keeper!
U could line the pan with parchment if its a problem. Otherwise just cover with a plate turn it upside down then another plate on top and turn around again

My husband loves it and the top looks professional! The middle was slightly under done, so next time I'll bake 40 minutes. We'll be enjoying it again on Thanksgiving Day!

I just found this and I'm going to make it. Because you made it twice already I have a question. How did you get it out of the pan? It's so delicate I can see it falling apart if you flip it out and flip it again to upright it.
@@nigattila4832 I believe the best solution is to use parchment paper. Have it overlap the edge of the pan. When it's done, lift it out of the pan by the parchment paper. Good luck.
I am not a fan of plain yoghurt, so would substitute that with mascarpone cheese for my sweet tooth. Looks yummy and I will definitely be having a go at making it myself. Thank you for the recipe.

it works with almond flour from BJ's (the grocery Store) also, add 1/4. teaspoon of zanthum only if you have it just for the crust

I just found this and I'm going to make it. Because you made it twice already I have a question. How did you get it out of the pan? It's so delicate I can see it falling apart if you flip it out and flip it again to upright it.

@@nigattila4832 I believe the best solution is to use parchment paper. Have it overlap the edge of the pan. When it's done, lift it out of the pan by the parchment paper. Good luck.

I am not a fan of plain yoghurt, so would substitute that with mascarpone cheese for my sweet tooth. Looks yummy and I will definitely be having a go at making it myself. Thank you for the recipe.
