The ideal bus topology is not a backbone twisted pair with stubs, but node to node daisy chaining. With daisy chaining the stubs are minimized because the splice(s) occur on the harness side of the node (module) connector, as close to the connector as possible. You could have the daisy chaining inside the module, which would be ideal, but this would required more connector pins. Another problem with daisy chaining in the module is if you remove the module the bus is now open circuit. Sleep current graph value is wrong. Sleep current value in the data sheet is 5uA which would be 0.005 mA not 0.00005 mA.
