    Some of the best lessons / Demonstrations out there. I wish you would come back.

    I'll enjoy learning this now - thanks! Steve Cropper...what a R&B genius.

      +MattyBEightyThree Met him about 20 years ago at the airport in Washington and got to hang with him for an hour while we waited for our flights. He's exactly as cool as you'd hope. I couldn't believe nobody else recognized him -- he was even wearing a satin jacket with a big Fender logo on it!

      Oh wow - that's an awesome brush with an incredible guy. When I heard Traveling Man by Ricky Nelson as a little kid (with my parents), the solo made me stop and take notice. Cropper was way ahead of his time.

    Funny thing, I know this song well but never knew who sang it. Now I do. Good job.

    2:10 in...a C chord as a triad?

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +brpbrpbrpbrp Yes, but I included the D string open when it went to the triad. Gives it a nice transition feel into the resolving chord.

    You need a "smile-a-vision" to watch this one. I bet this breaks your views.

    We need more music education like this. More playing and less talking about it. Just like with speech we learn to talk by hearing others talk and then later we learn the rules of speech. Learning by hearing then improving by developing knowledge of the rules later feels like the more natural order. I wish more TH-cam guitar instructors understood this. I guess all of the excess talking on other videos works for some, but I like this straight ahead "just play it" method a whole lot better.
