I'm glad you enjoyed the Vrsic Pass. The cobblestone or pavement is on the corners because of the ice in winter so that it does not slide too much. Good luck and joy wherever life takes you.
Thanks for the sub Craig! So glad you enjoyed the video and you’re along for the ride. Please do comment on our videos about why you love them, what we could do better and what you’d like to see more of. We love the feedback 👍
I really liked your drone shots, and getting to see different parts of the world. You both seem to talk into the camera naturally too. Very well done@@wanderingsofalanandcaz
Absolutely amazing video. Me and my wife did a mini break there about 5 years ago, we saw the break on secret escapes and just booked it. Cost about £800 for 2 of us half board for 4 nights. Absolute top value … perfect little hotel on Lake Bled and veranda and view over the lake to the little island… we hired a car for about 80 euros … went to the Soca valley but a part where you could walk along the river on wooden bridges along the vertical sides of the river walls. Incredible place. Another day we just randomly got on a train and headed towards some mountain and lake ski resort but no snow as was summer but we took the cab,e came up to the top …incredible. Cat remember the lakes name, I called it Lake BOHICA as it sounded a bit like that word…that stands for Bend Over Here It Comes Again… lol an American word made up in WWII lol… High,y recommend this country it’s beautiful ❤
@@buffplums It’s an amazing country for sure. We can’t wait to go back properly. We briefly drove through it again a few weeks ago in the way to Bosnia but didn’t have time to explore properly.
@@wanderingsofalanandcaz it was lovely to see your journey, I think I’d like to back again but life is too short and so many other beautiful places to see.
"it's like being in Narnia" :) 6:51 .. and indeed The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was filmed there, not far from the place you two were wandering through woods and from waterfall to waterfall ... they even built a big wooden bridge there, which they dismantled afterwards ofcourse..
@@wanderingsofalanandcaz at some 2 hours in the movie, when there's the final big battle on that big wooden bridge, you can even spot Mangart, if you'll watch closely :) and since you've climbed it, I think you'll have no trouble finding it ... What a beautiful place, the water so clear & blue. You have captured it so well, as I said before will be visiting next year , can not wait . Thanks guys 👍
glad you liked my country, your videos are really great and make's the awesome parts of Slovenia look eve better!👍👍 just.... the name of the river Soča is not pronounced "soka".... it's pronounced as if it was written "socha". 😉 love your videos... everything, form the "tasks and adventures" that you two "undertake", down to camera work, music and editing! superb!
Thank you Mirko for the lovely comments. It’s a tough language for us to get hold of but we’ve really enjoyed having a go and getting better 😊 We can’t wait to explore more of Slovenia. Feel free to share our videos with friends 👍
@@wanderingsofalanandcaz If you're going to explore more of Slovenia, you should visit Logarska dolina, as well as eastern part of Slovenia, Maribor, Pohorje mountain ridge, and the pannonian part called Prekmurje... Less "touristy", but completely different to the alpine part (except for Logarska waley which is a part of Kamnik-Savinja Alps, bit more east of Julian Alps). And if not that, then coastal, Adriatic region and karstic region with it's caves, which too is completely different from the region you'visited now., as well from the eastern Slovenia.. The south, with Bela Krajina and Kolpa river, I'll keep for myself 😁 😋😉

Hi. Either would be a great option for off road or road. We took road bikes and did the Vrsic Pass through the valley. It’s a great ride which you could do on any bike 👍🚵♀️
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

I am from Slovenija and its super to hear nice things abaut my country sory for my english
Your English is excellent…. Much better than our Slovenian 🙈
We had an amazing time in Slovenia and we’ll definitely be back!
All Slavic alphabets use letters
Č as CH in Charles
Š as S in Sean and
Ž as J in Jean.
This means it is SoČa river and VrŠiČ pass.
12:02 🤣🤣🤣🤣 also - how gorgeous is Slovenia!!!

Pronounce Soča (Č) like Charles, Chicago….
Congratulations. Kranjska gora, Vršič (Vrschich) pass, Soča (Trenta) valley, Predil pass, Kranjska gora. A serious tour.

In the Slovenian language Č (Soča) is pronounced as CH. Socha, not Soka.
