- Learn how to fix screen flickering or flashing on your Samsung phone or tablet.
There can be multiple reasons why your device screen may be flickering or flashing. The three main causes are:
a) Adaptive brightness issues: Try adjusting your brightness with the following steps.
1. Go to ‘Settings’
2. Tap ‘Display’
3. Tap the switch to disable ‘Adaptive brightness’
4. Slide the bar to the right to increase brightness and stop the flickering
b) Screen damage: If your screen is damaged, you can book a repair.
1. Visit Samsung Repair (Book Your Repair with an Authorised Service Centre | Samsung UK)
2. Select your model
3. Tell us what the issue is
4. Choose the repair option for you
c) Bug in an app: Use safe mode to determine if a bug in a third party app is causing the problem.
1. Press and hold the power button to turn off your device
2. Tap and hold ‘Power off’ until the option ‘Safe mode’ appears
3. Tap ‘Safe mode’
4. If the flickering stops when your device is in safe mode, it could be related to a bug in one of the apps. Uninstall third party apps starting with the most recently installed, until the flickering stops

might be worth checking if you have touch sensitivity or accidental touch Protection on, turned mine off and it hasn't done it for awhile now. To turn off go to setting - display - scroll to bottom and turn either or both off.

i have exactly the same problem, my screen is white , and it gets overheated when i turn the screen,
besides , when the phone is in a dark place the green color gets reducted,
sometimes the phone gets back to normal but now it's in the same issue back .
what shall i do ? please

I think it is the fingerprint reader on most.. my lower half of my screen will flicker white and wo t stop when trying to use fingerprint reader. And it still doesnt read the fingerprint..

I just had the (mandatory) OneUI update applied to my Galaxy S21 FE and while the phone is locked, the screen now randomly comes on and off to the lock screen. It's for less than a second, and does this without any movement of the phone. Any ideas what is causing this? I assume it is something related to this OneUI update, but not sure if others have experience something similar...

My phone has now, for the second time, randomly gone fully white (with green flickering), as such I can't see the keyboard at all, let alone the apps. What am I supposed to do? last time it just resolved itself but its becoming an issue.
I paid $600 for this Samsung S20+ 5G model, I better not have to replace the screen (which has ZERO DAMAGE AT ALL) which costs like $350.
How did it fixed itself last time,did u turn off ur phone completely or just turned it off,and how long did u wait

My samsung galaxyA70 keeps flashing when the brightness turns low and high.
Had same issue, no damage, only recent update. Looks suspicious that update triggered issue and can't access and use phone at all now. I'm done with Samsung, can't trust them!
