Bonne leçon madame . Can you plz make a lesson on adjectives -where to place them (before or after noun) and how to accord them to qualify number and gender. I don’t understand this topic till date and also how to make noun out of adjectives and adverbs out of adjectives etc . Very thankful for this video btw.
I know pronunciation course is over but i really love how you like to to focus on the pronunciation because by doing this will keep anyone on track on their pronunciation and will not lose focus on how to pronounce the words properly keep it up

@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Thanks that's what I suspected. So it's "une heure et demie" where the adjective demie matches the gender of heure. And it's "une heure moins le quart" where quart is a masculine noun. Now!...what about "une heure et quart"?! Is quart still a noun here. It doesn't seem to be since quart doesn't have the definite article and "une heure et quart" is just the same phrase as "une heure et demie" except with quart instead. 🙂 So would quart be an adjective here? And if so is quart the feminine form of the adjective. And finally, "demi-heure": I understand that demi is used instead of demie when it is hyphenated before heure like this, but does that mean demi is no longer adjectival in demi-heure? That's the only way I could make sense of demie changing back to demi in the hyphenated form. I'd be interested in your comments. Thanks.
Adrienne that's because where I grew up we pronounce it :D Both pronunciations are fine. But if you don't pronounce the T in vingt alone, remember to pronounce it when there is a liaison :)

Thank you for the lesson, Dylane.
It's very similar to the way we say the time in Spanish. We replace the word 'time' by the word 'hora'.
Every time I read your comments, it reminds me that I should start learning Spanish soon!

Hi, why does demie have to match the gender of heure yet quart stubbornly stays masculine (le quart) ignoring the feminine heure.
Quart is a noun, while demi is an adjective :)

just *AS* -like- in English
a few ways _of_ telling the time.
so *AS* I have said before...
Why can't we say il est dix- sept heures et demie
We just don't say that :) No real rule around it.
Okay, next time if any French asks me the time, I'll answer ''Il est bla bla bla...'' :D
Ahaha I don't remember saying that in the video but it does sound like me lol

I came here because I forgot how to answer Quelle heure est-il ? lol. Please don't take away my DELFs.
I had to call my dentist back this week because I wasn't sure if I understood the time right between 10 to 5 to 5 to 10. And I am C2 in English 😂
I think, we can say " A quelle heure?"
À quelle heure is the equivalent of "At what time" 😉
