I'm always inspired from the stories of the artists that I looked up to. Hearing their humble beginnings until to their success stories. Sobrang tutok ako sa bawat story ni Gab simula umpisa hanggang matapos. Thank you Sir Rayms and Sir Darren. Grabe 2 years late na ako sa video na to.

Man we used to watch Urbandub play in Artist Dais of Cebu way back when. In fact we opened for them at one time and there was always something about their chemistry that I knew would put them above the rest. Glad they did what they did and traveled to Manila to introduce their music there. Gabby's always been a class act. Happy and proud of these guys. And the best part is, they're still a solid group. That's whatsup.

I was in a band in my twenties playing covers sa mga gigs yung mga gusto marinig ng mga tao, and now I'm 36 iniisip ko at pakiramdam ko matanda na ako nag tuturo din ng ng konting nalalaman ko sa mga youngsters. While watching this interview, I can't help but wonder paano kaya kung pinilit ko din e push and tinulak ko din to find or be with people who really wanted it like I did gaya nila Gab. Daym.
Man, I'm turning 39 this year. I wrote some original songs since 2005 pero wala nangyari. Kahit mga kababata ko yung mga kabanda ko, lately ko lang narealize na "oo parang magkakapatid na kami, pero wala pala talaga kaming chemistry". So i decided top look for bandmates. Now, masaya ako. Di man kami sikat pero nag eenjoy ako. Basta tuloy tuloy lang. It's never too late.

Grabe, that Marikina Nu107 gig happened 2003, it's the weekend before the start of classes. We were all waiting for Urbandub, and we were shouting "urbandub naman na !" without knowing na Urbandub pala nag soundcheck (being assisted by Plane Divides the Sky). Di namin alam ichura nila e hahaha.

JOhnbrown and lalay would always hang out sa labas ng PE rooms sa ilalim ng mga acacia trees sa TC, just outside of Civil Engineering department, nakikita namin sila palagi, we used to watch Bajuyo Shrubs, Disco Assasins, Who;s next sa TC. oh those were the days...
Coming in prepared in studio was my band thing too. Same reason, halos wala kaming budget para mag practice sayang ang oras kung bara2 kaya acoustic guitar palang need na ma polish tapos yung drummer namin ay nag aairdrums nalang. although hindi kami naka record ng studio versions ng mga songs namin solid parin ang formative years namin. 🤘
