    Using multiple synth pedals in a couple parallel chains would probably be really cool. Basically makes your guitar into a two oscillator synth.

    • @CyberattackWorld
      @CyberattackWorld  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      yes that would be bananas. but it's worth noting that the C4 synth can already do this by itself, with the multiple-voices feature.

      A separate dry output for this is really helpful, so long as you have something to mix them back together later or two amps or whatever. The Behringer BSY600 (a clone of the BOSS SYB-5) has two outputs (wet and dry) as well as an EXP jack. Some good sounds in it, some very ugly sounds in it, tracks badly and if you feed it a drum machine it goes nuts! My personal favourite experiment involved putting in chords, letting the monophonic BSY600 try and pick a note out, and sending the dry signal to the EHX Attack/decay with a long attack of for a swelling chord into a big delay.

    i forgot to thank you for the tips you're giving all the time. i started to approach pedals from your perspective, pushing them to the limit and finding glitches and the first pedal i tried it with was attack/decay. it blew my socks off. i managed to get many different pedals out of it. all types of swell and pluck, tremolo, bit crusher, different fuzzes and god knows what. what's great about the pedal is that it gives you 3 preset bank + the setup you dial on the physical knobs. and no bloody digital display, thank god. you really taught me how to explore. thank you!

    My favorite thing I’ve done with my rig was setting up a wet and dry rig. Then I got curious and added fuzz to my wet amp so now I’ve been playing with parallel fuzz tones. Both are pretty maxed out in gain and noise level so it’s a mega punch of distortion coming through.

    Great video! The attack decay is the most underrated pedal out there in my opinion. My secret sauce is using a delay in the fx Loop, set to totally oscillate with feedback - tame it with the blend and decay knob. Also try a pitch shifter or arpegiator into a fully wet reverb back into the return

    C4 tracks "too well" compared to other synth pedals I have, but sloppy playing seems to have less effect than harmonics. I just EQ out the highs and tracking is much better on things like the Data Corrupter, but you can definitely still make them glitch, and you can get a lot more unique sounds out of them, somewhat consistently, just by messing with the tracking rather than the settings. Only just picked up the C4, though, I have a lot more experimenting to do with that...

      @@louismarinrenaud416 my fuzzes consist of an original black Russian Big Muff with knobs broken off in the positions that I always set them to anyway because I tripped on it and various cheap fuzzes that I've modified and upgraded myself with better components. I don't know how conventional that is but it sounds good to me. The HX Stomp models are so accurate for most effects that they're effectively stand-ins. I have an another Big Muff that I don't use anymore because the Line 6 model makes it redundant.

    Do you have a system for documenting your signal chain and settings?
    Im running into an issue where I go back and listen to sketches that I create, and have no idea how I got there.
    Like most things, I have a feeling this comes down to discipline and good work habits. I think i just answered my own question…

    Synths into synth pedals is also fun and full of errors, td-3 into mothership is a goldmine

      also the tracking errors in the poly mode of the attack decay are so weird and unique.

      The C4 is the most powerful, but using it is not easy-there's a whole software component, and I found it intimidating at first. But you can download settings (including mine) if you just want to get going and not tweak.
      The Attack Decay is much more straightforward and easy to use. It can't do everything, but the things it can do all sound very good. It and the C4 are my two favorites of the 5 pedals in this video.

    I got away from using synth pedals because I found none of them could generate the low end of a real synth. The EHX bass microsynth is the only one I keep
