- Despite mounting tensions with Russia over NATO* expansion, the bloc’s outgoing chief hopes Ukraine will become a member in the next 10 years
*North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. The outgoing NATO Secretary-General said “I very much hope that Ukraine will become an ally”. Jens Stoltenberg admitted that NATO is helping Ukraine prepare for the military alliance. The NATO chief said Kyiv’s allies must continue to provide "strong support" and avoid a repeat of the Minsk Agreements to achieve peace in Ukraine.

i think the NATO gen secretary is one of the biggest reason for this ukraine war. When it is clear that russia attacked ukraine to prevent NATO admission, attempts to again have NATO in ukraine does not play in any way to a settlement in ukraine. For peace Ukraine must be a nuetral buffer state at a minimum

It was never Russia that "violated" Minsk agreements. Kyiv never enacted them, but continued to shell and bomb the Donbas cities and civilians. Unfortunately for the Kyiv government, their soldiers were never able to defeat the Donbas militias, who were fighting for their homes and families. The militias pushed the Kyiv Ukraine troops back, which is the only reason Kyiv pretended to agree to Minsk - they were loosing to Donbas then, and they are losing to Russia now!
You carefully left out the fact that it was Igor Girkin who - on Putin's orders - occupied Sloviansk after Moscow puppet Viktor Yanukovych was defeated in the 2014 democratic elections. That occupation led to the war in Donbass. Those are the historical facts, not the Kremlin lies.

@@johnnyrexchannel142 Donbas was easily able to defeat Kyiv Ukraine's forces in 2014-15, but since then NATO/US was arming and training Kyiv regime's soldiers. It was clear to Russia and the Donbas self-declared republics that Kyiv would never honour the agreements. NATO/USA were amassing a huge force to invade Donbas, so they appealed to Russia to recognise their "republics" and help them. The sad reality is that USA/NATO never expected Ukraine to be able to win against Russia, so the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians is a pointless sacrifice made so others could get rich.

Ukraine is unable to hold elections constitutional because it is under a total assault, and millions of its citizens are unable to vote, and millions more would just become russian targets trying to go to the polls.
Both the governing parties and opposition party agree that it's not the time. 80% of Ukrainians (in a poll Nov. 2023)do not want elections until the war is over.
