since when is "total eclipse of the heart" a terrible song? i love that song! (and the glee version....but still.) i wouldnt classify it with hammer time, ice ice baby, and run joey run.
no, they didn't do it for the assignment and plus it's known as a timeless song that people still love. i think the writers just thought it was perfect for that moment
