Frank Turner's done over 2300 gigs, having started to tour intensively in 2006 and not letting go. Still at it and god are the live shows better than the albums

I thought it was some jazz shit too and in a way it makes the song better
I don't think its on purpose, ive seen a few comments saying its tuned up to the F key, but i think they just noticed that its out of tune somewhere in the middle and decided to roll along with it and try their best to make it work, which - needless to say - just made the song 20x better in my opinion :]

I'm really a big fan on this band and love all of their brilliant records came out via Matador but live performance must be improved. There's always thoughts on my mind when i watch their live clips on the TH-cam like 'Will's voice is not that powerful as i expected like, not even close to studio version. and every songs become too simple and sloppy that it feels like that they never intended for it but it is in somehow. Maybe just clips can't take every great moments and strength of them at all. Cus they sounds amazing in the actual venue.
Idk their concerts are pretty nice like I really enjoyed it I don’t think video clips capture the actual projection of his voice.
will has said in an interview he always tries to do something different in live performance, he does have a powerful voice, it’s just that sometimes he chooses to do things like the studio version and other times he changes it so yeah it’s not gonna seem consistent
