I think the "silicon mold" might be a beader's tray for setting up patterns of beads before stringing. Never seen a bendy one, but handy for putting away.
I think it sounds like a high performance car. The sound did not travel 11 miles but the car making the sound did. Explains why such a limited amount of people heard it between those 11 miles. It was an 11 mile stretch and not an 11 mile radius.

the whales and fish are knock-off merch for the kpop group BTS. the whale is important in some of their music videos and basically is a metaphor for their fans. The fishies are traditional korean wind chimes. One of the members designed one last year 😊 hope this helps, might make a fan really happy ❤️

Years ago I heard loud BOOMS here too! In Milwaukee WI. I believe they had come from underground. And before the booms had started there was this super loud sound that sounded like a huge machine was out in front crushing cars. But nothing there. Everything looked normal. Right after that the BOOMS started. I think it was rock cracking underground? The next day I saw a brand new sinkhole in someone's yard up in Bay View. Perfectly round!

The sound was very similar to the sound of a V12 engine revving. Similar to a Lamborghini Aventador. With the right exhaust it is extremely loud.

Sounded to me like someone was pulling a cord to start something very fast. We I was young you had to pull a cord to start a lawn mower.
