So stoked on these. I have a pair that are suppose to show up on my doorstep tomorrow. The black, red, and white color scheme. I’ve been skating nothing but éS for a while now and will probably keep on skating them (the Evant and Silo SC). Love me some late 90’s/early 00’s throwback style.
Yea boii have a nice day everyone! I have the brown ones and the rare white ones with yellow/royal blue and gum outsole. Favorite shoe EVER so far, will keep skating it, better than the 1010's imo, more snug fit
I don't know if you love the N or not but it's truly not just a dad shoe. Has been huge in the hip hop community since the 80's. It's a legend. I think of the mainstream company's New Balance makes the best skate shoes. Great flick and good durability.
Hell yeah been waiting on this review over the holidays. I think you might be tired of NB for now but they just released the NB Westgate 913's again and i think a review in those would be cool!
$110 dollars! I just got these puppies for $27 new, from the on sale rack at zummies. Major steal . I loved the 308, ive had 4 or 5 pairs of them, today i got the 808 and already know they are gonna be part of the line up from now on. Comfort, look, stability, idk if the grip will be like the 308s but we will soon find out.

YO!! Thank you for such content! Most of your videos help me decide which shoes to buy online and the shoe is exactly what you said it is. I was wondering if you have time to test and review the Jack Curtin 288s (white), I would really appreciate it! Thank you!
This shoe looks great for impact and landing primo, and I would probably be more willing to skate that than the 480’s lol. I bought those reynolds shoes in white with the black cupsole and I was like “yeah I’m not skating this”. I also bought the non skate version and I had to get a size 8. When the beefier skating ones came in a size 9 I thought they looked too big to fit me, but all the padding inside made up for that. Kinda. I also had to put the shoelace through the last loop from outside to inside so the knot would be closer to the tongue and hold it down better. It did the trick in the end. But the leather looks so premium I’m not gonna destroy the shoe with my mobbed ollies lol. I kinda wish you’d cut some new balances in half straight down the middle. Like with a bandsaw lol. So we can see that yellow stuff inside and how it runs along the inside of that cupsole. I love shoe cutting videos kinda like rose anvil does. Btw I’ve been skating your laces in a pair of nike chrons and they are definitely kevlar, but they look like the strands are more dense than most of the skinny kevlar laces on the market. I know it’s a type of carbon fiber like material because it feels cold to the touch like metal. I had a cf guitar and the panels were made by vacuuming out the epoxy in a bag, so when you touched the guitar it was always cold and of course it was 99% carbon fiber instead of epoxy resin.
I just got the black suede and ice blue gum on sale 70$ excited to skate them but first I’ll be using them as gym shoes for a week 😅 I do Oly lifting so I’m sure they’ll break in after a week of squats at 400+ lbs and heavy cleans 👌
Update I like the way they skate early on better than the the 1010, however once the 1010 is broken in it’s better all around in my opinion and the lasts longer. The 808 once torn up from flip tricks looks like a pealing baked potato lol idk man I think I’m just going to stick with Tyshawn adidas 🙌 little to no breaking in time good board feel and arch protection for the inevitable premo lol
Unfortunately the middle of my foot is way too wide for these. I bought them a month ago at my true size in 99% of shoes and have skated them everyday and the middle of my foot is always spilling over the sole, which is painful because the edge of the sole is really ridgid and just digs into the sides of my foot. The toebox in comparison is actually fine and not too narrow like a lot of people say. It just isn't especially wide and spacious but the toe does break in and widen. It's just the back half of the shoe which has these hard plastic supports around the sole which hurt if your foot isn't narrow enough to stay within the bounds.
@@christianflores i'm at a month of skating them almost every day. They are still strong and not worn through but i still can't keep going more than 30 minutes for a sesh unless i kick them off and let my feet breathe. these would be so perfect with the arch of the shoe being a bit wider.
Not in that colour way but I'd be interested if they didn't look like they have a narrow toe box, like the DC Lynx. Too uncomfortable if you've got wide feet probably.
the price is steep but they are quality , I just can't get over the new balance look they look like 80s retro shoes still , new balance forever dad shoes
Hey man I love your videos! I was wondering what size you bought the 808s in, and what is your foot's length, along with what other sizes you usually wear for other brands other than nb as well. Also, do you know if the sizing of the 1010's are compatible with the 808's as in how each shoe fits according to one size? (I found a 9.5 US 808 with a more tight fit compared to a 9.5 1010) I know this is a lot, but your help is very very appreciated! Sending love from Canada! Peace✌
@@Owjdnskoakansbskk I appreciate it man! I'll refer back to this comment some day when I decide to buy nike sb😅 had to switch my 9.5 nb 808s for a 10, they oddly run a little smaller.
@@samsedghi5791 i didn't really feel that personally. The toe of the shoe is way too long if i go up just a half size. It's just the back half of the shoe is really narrow. If you have a fatter heel on your foot and less arch, these will hurt a lot at your true size and the back half of the shoe has hard plastic which doesn't break in.

Hands down my favorite shoe. After the 3rd session they broke in. My feet hardly gets injured anymore
Yeah they are pretty damn good. I really liked them.
They do but don’t break in but I’m sure that’s just so they never lose their impact protection completely like a lot of others do!
What do you mean with “break in”?
@@eusebiomanrike the shoes soften and conform to your foot and aren't stiff/uncomfortable like some shoes are when they're new
How's the fit compared to the 1010? I've heard the 808 are even narrower than them. May need to jump to that 10.5
I been skating these pretty consistently for about 3 months and still got some life in them
Man, love that the laces you made don’t rip but they are very slippery and don’t hold when I tie them very well, not a fan of having to double knot
