Thank you for posting the first real world video of the amazing Helix folding bicycle. Besides the weight issue there are other details that raises concerns. For instance, why the screw knobs instead of quick-release latches? Screwing and unscrewing takes a lot of time. We shall see what other reviewers have to say...
I think one of the main reasons was that the creator of the Helix wanted to have latches that were really secure and tight to avoid the creakiness common in some folding bikes, and that wouldn't wear and develop play over extended use. As for the time taken to fold and unfold the bike, surely it takes a couple more seconds to screw the knobs down than it would to tighten a quick release lever. Either system beats any form of dissassembly!
Don't have one but have 4 folders (Tern & Dahon) and think that HB post is a GREAT idea! It's a shame they couldn't make one with an IGH and carbon belt drive, that would be the ultimate bike. Are you able to use your own saddle?
it's an amazing video man. can you make a closer looks video about all the hinges mechanism, the durability of the hinges, and all that stuff? is that possible to change the chain and the gear with carbon belt? what about electric rear hub? and what's the cons of helix? sorry I got a lot of questions. i really curious about this bike 😁
@@jadur Ours are scheduled for March delivery. Hey, this is March! We ordered the Shimano internal hub. Heavier but less prone to damage. We intend to pack these around alot.

There's a review thread started on bikeforums.net. Apparently rides much like a full sized bike.
They actually didn’t take a long time at all to undo the joints. About 5-10 seconds for each. No more. That’s totally acceptable for me.

여행하기엔 살짝 큰 느낌이 드네요 하지만 24인치의 매력이 끌리고,,, 티타늄이란점이 승차감에서 좋을것같지만 바프나 브롬톤처럼 접는게 시간이 적게드는것같지는 않고
하지만 접고 펴는 모습을 보아하니 엄청 고민을 많이한 흔적들이 보이네요
