They basically mean the same thing :fight is the noun whereas fighting is the action (like the talk and the talking). Remember, do not use the preposition /in/ in both sentences. We say the fight lasted ten minutes. Best.

I already knew these phrasal verbs. Other ones I'm confident to use (and can remember by heart) are: join in, follow up, find out, made out of, chill out, come up, break up, stand out, check out, look after, look forward, go down, go up, come on, come over, let down, put up, make up, turn up, turn down, get in, get on, get into, watch out.
Phrasal verbs are very useful to increase comprehension of English. However, there are a lot of them over there, and they're not that easy to learn for an ESL learner like me.

    - When using log in (as 2 words), it is being used as a verb showing an action… telling someone to take action…go log in.
    - When using login (as 1 word), it is being used as a noun or adjective indicating a place or destination… go to the login or go to the login page.
The same thinking applies to log out vs. logout

You remind me my favorite english teacher the last english lesson i had with
her was 16 years ago,iam from Greece however and i still speak english fluently.
However 2 things helped me never forget them.
    1) Untill i was 19 years old i was fanatic gamer and i was communicating by chatting in english.
Join army is mandatory in Greece unless you are gay or have other serious issue then i joined army
and i quit gaming completely as gamer i was speaking english daily.
    2) On 2013 i got promoted to captain and i started selling(2nd job) to USA,UK,Australia,EU,untill today
so i never forgot the english language besides i improved my english because and as gamer and as seller
i was always using them to communicate with others.
After joining army however i never played video games again untill today because i started workout to be stronger & heal
faster than other soldiers in the barracks by being 1.87cm / 0.06135171 tall and current weight 100kg/220.462 pounds i became addicted to it.

This lesson is fantastic. This is easily understandable to all pupil and people. Normally, phrasal verbs are formed from Base form or Root form or Present form or First form or V1 form of a Verb + PREPOSITION or ADVERB. I will expect your video very soon.

Thanks a lot Max. Your teaching style is amazing and I do love it.
It is obvious that there is a difference between the meaning of phrasal verbs and that of the normal verbs but is there any rule or pattern that might help English learners to make an educated guess of the meaning of phrasal verbs. For instance, the existence of the word "down" in words as in cut down, put down, go down, etc which all imply the meaning of "decrease".

      Hi Mohd!
      My pleasure :).
Yes, often you can guess (the example you gave with "down" is correct), but often you can't...
