    I have very similar hair type and my hair was in this state recently.
    It means lack of protein, hair has started splitting and shows lack of trims. The shaft is damaged, the cuticle is lifted and that's why it's knotting up.
    Your hair needs a clarifying shampoo to clear the product buildup, then you need a protein treatment, and then a deep mosturizing conditioner.
    A trim is not enough because the splits have already grown mid-shaft.
    At this point you do have to cut all the hair that is damaged.
    Then to avoid this in the future, you will need regular trims and protein treatment once a month will be needed.

      Thank you do this. I will remember this for the future 😉

      My hair is the same do I need to cut it, or is it reversible?

    My hair was like that before. I just left an over night conditioner (mielle has a good one ), sectioned it, detangeled and trimed my ends.

      Yeah I definitely needed to give my hair some attention. I also trimmed, they don’t call it a natural hair journey for no reason hey…

    Girl is this the drinking and crying section cuz my hair looks like that with the sparseness and roughness. now, i'm a heated trained natural and my 4c curl pattern has been decimated. I need a trim so bad. the problem is trying to convince myself how much to cut and how much to save and try to restore the hair. i can do it cuz unfortunately i've done it many times. but i'm tired girl. i'm praying for you and me and the other ladies with the same dilemma.

    • @tshidiradebe
      @tshidiradebe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol it really was that kind of session. Look I highly suggest you cut what’s dead and try to be consistent and gentle with your hair. Whenever my hair is like this, I use coconut oil and flex seed gel to rescue it

  • @californiadoll6273

    People don't understand that even if you cut your hair it will continue to web. I know because my hair is the same way, it's natural (no color, no hair processing) yet my hair webs. I can't brush it because it snaps off while untangling and brushing. (I'm latina)

    • @tshidiradebe
      @tshidiradebe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Exactly, I think the best way to decrease webbing is by keeping your hair detangled and stretched

    • @Lynn-gw7he
      @Lynn-gw7he 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing that helped my webbing was Olaplex. I bought 0,3 and 8. My hair is in a much better place now. It still webs a little, but I’m hoping that using olaplex over time will continue to help. My webbing was crazy!

    • @californiadoll6273
      @californiadoll6273 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Lynn-gw7he i used olalex mask and oil and the water spray that you add on before applying the mask. It did nothing, it actually made my hair more webby. The only thing that's worked for my hair is BondiBoost regrow conditioner and spraying the heat protectant when it's wet (even though I don't heat style my hair) the shampoo is meh, but the Cond&Heat protectant made my wet frizz dissappear by like 85%. A big enough difference that I would repurchase again. Try and let me know if it worked for you. (You can return it back at Ulta if it didn't work)

    • @Lynn-gw7he
      @Lynn-gw7he 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@californiadoll6273 ok. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

    • @logikgirl12
      @logikgirl12 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If it's webbing it means that the hair shaft is damaged, the cuticle is lifted and not laying smooth.
      It needs a clarifying shampoo and a protein treatment to rebuild the hair shaft and smooth the cuticle down. Then add a deep condition that is moisturizing.
      Then you need to cut off the damaged hair above where the splits begin (a trim is not enough).
