If you are using normal paper to draw on use tissue paper to blend crayons pencil coloured pencils seems to help do the trick
I didn't realize you could blend crayons, will definitely have to try that!

This demo reminds me of receiving a food recipe from someone who has left off or changed some of the ingedients intentionally to ensure that the final product will never be the same as what is being demonstrated. Remember everyone, all crayons are made from fossil fuel, i.e., wax. Wax will not blend /mix with other media or with itself. What is being shown is not fact. Wax repels everything, even itself so how can you blend waxes. Try mixing two different oils. Cannot be accomplished since oil is also a derivative of fossil fuel. The only way to blend waxes is to use a wax solvent such as rubbing alcohol. But even using rubbing alcohol will not truly blend different waxes as you see on this tutorial.
