It's called both tackles went out!! Playing up against a really good defense. When are defenses dominating. And we had a 2 or 3 score lead.

I disagree a bit with Cromp. I don’t think Heup didn’t trust Nico as much as he didn’t trust the OL.

15 minutes in and yall haven’t mentioned the tackle situation once. We had a walk on and a freshman being forced to play and they were getting beat consistently. Putting the lack of aggressiveness or game plan solely on nico is criminal honestly. Larry Johnson got whipped by UTC linemen

Hawkins is ABSOLUTELY Oklahoma's starting QB for the rest of the season. If he's not they'd something horribly wrong with the coaching staff in Norman. He went in to a horrible situation and mage the absolute best of it. If he had been in the game from the start that's a while different ball game. But regardless of the final score that kid played his heart out and left it all on the field. He earned the job last night and no one can deny that.

Heupel fooled everyone and didn’t run tempo… OU prepared for that all off season and Heupel did the exact opposite. 😂 Tennessee defense blasted OU. MOI IS A MONSTER!

Heupel was running the same plays they have all month, no need to open it up. A lot of factors played into that
Alabama and UGA were watching, both tackles were out, protect Nico who was getting hit
OU wasn’t gonna get 20 points
Just keep it simple, get the win and get to the bye week.
Heupel and UT was fuckin around the entire 2nd half
Kinda like the KC Baltimore playoff game last year.

  • @bryanelam6128

Missing Heard cost us two fumbles. And lost another tackle in the 3rd quarter. That's what kept us conservative

That and no need to do anything when the game is won

Heup was super respectful (timid) of that BV defense.
He tried to keep it simple so OUr D didnt force errors from a young Nico. He helped his young qb, something OUr OC couldn't do. We needed help to win and Heup didn't allow it. Dont be ashamed, OUr D is top notch!

I think this game was a slap in the face to Venables. They have been talking their defense up so much, it was a great scheme. With our 2 main tackles out, Hype had to adjust. He just showed everyone we finally have a great defense. He has said numerous times, our defense will be back and he just proved that. I'm glad to see Hype win in a way that differs from the high octane offense. This is exactly what we need to do to beat Georgia. Change our play cause Georgia has the number for our high tempo offense.

Nico was 4-0 going into this game and absolutely ballin out. No reason for Heup not to trust him. We were up 19pts and down two lineman. No need to get cute with the game plan. Protect your QB, protect the ball, protect the lead. That's it

Should OU start Hawkins as QB 1 now? Now. Hawkens still went for 3 three-and-outs vs TN in garbage time with very soft coverage from us. I think give the kid time and chances. OU allowed Dillion Gabriel to leave because, "oh we have Jackson Arnold" coming here, not Hawkins. Give your system time to work and get everyone healthy for Arnold.

Or how our defense was playing so good and Oklahoma was showing zero signs of moving the ball so just chew the clock up…he trust nico he wasn’t trying to get him killed cause the line was letting him get blown up a lot in the 1st half

You guys are nuts about not trusting Nico. That was classic eat clock play not to lose while bc D was in control while not showing much on film bc Heupe knew Vols had this. To say CJH doesn’t trust Nico is just absurd as the fake injuries OU was doing. Worst take from this channels history.

You guys dont understand the history between Heupel and OU. Heupel was tyring to do OU a solid by being conservative and not running up the score. He is friends with Brent Venables and many other OU people, he doesn't want to embarrass them by running up 50 points. He also knows that OU's offense had zero ability to score, at least until OU benched their QB and put in the backup who was much better than the starter.

I really don’t think that’s what happened. I think they tried to be as careful as possible and run the clock down by only running the ball. OU just has a very solid defense and was able keep the running game down.

Backup OTackles got beaten badly on BOTH of the sacks when Nico fumbled...BUT we had RBs in the backfield to block for that EXACT reason and Sampson failed to pick up 1, and Bishop failed to pick up the other. Coach was smart to run only in the 2nd half with 2 backup tackles

  • @ThePlaton20
    @ThePlaton20 หลายเดือนก่อน

OU has a SEC ready defense. But their offense is by far the worst of the power conferences. Their offensive line is trash and Jackson Arnold their primary QB is trash. It looks like they need to go with the backup QB.

JA played lost, just like he’s played in the first three games. OU defense held Tennessee to 150 yards rushing on over 50 carries. Excellent. OU offense pathetic until they chaged QBs. Hawkins outscored Tennessee in second half. Good thing for Tennessee that Hawkins didn’t play the first half.

This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve heard on the game so far. You 2 completely ignore the fact that we had 2 freshmen tackles almost the whole game and 3rd string linebackers in for half the game. Heupel played conservatively because he knew he could still win that way. No sense in getting people hurt just to try and run the score up.

To u vols saying u would blow us out. We told u guys all week, no matter what ur rank is NOBODY comes in to norman and wins easy. Yall thought Auburn was hard to beat at home, now you know! This shouldve been a lot easier for UT on paper. OUr defense held ur elite offense to 25 while OUr offense gv you 12 of those points. Both teams only scored 2 td's and UT was facing a hs offensive unit. Also outscored ut 12-6 in 2nd half. UT top 3 team rn and solid both sides. But.... OU D is spectacular! Saw a vol fan say if ou holds ut under 30 then OUr defense is elite. Not counting OUr offensive bumbles giving u points OUr defense held you to 13 points! YOU HAVE TO ADMIT YOU DIDNT SEE THAT COMING!
