  • Explore 22 Simple Montessori Fall Activities for Baby, Toddler, and Preschoolers! Many of these fall activities you can DIY and set up in minutes with things you likely already have at home (or likely planned to get for the fall months anyway!) Provide a variety of fall themed activities for your toddler to explore, helping them explore language, math, science, botany, and art while engaging all of their senses. These Montessori friendly fall activities invite your toddler to learn about fall through play and give them the chance to explore all that the fall time has to offer! Which of these Montessori fall activities for toddlers were your favorite?
    Your Montessori shelf does not need to be the fully 'fall themed' for your little one to enjoy some Montessori Fall Activities! In fact, it is best to leave your child's shelf with activities they enjoy, introducing one or two themed activities into rotation or as a supplemental activity throughout the day! Each of these Montessori fall activities can be adjusted to be easier for a baby or more complex for a preschooler. We will discuss some of those changes and adjustments throughout the video. While our Montessori homes will always benefit from shelf work, don't forget that we can continue to implement Montessori at Home in incredibly simple ways. Simple practical life activities, art, sensory explorations, and nature walks are wonderful ways to introduce fall activities to your child. Stick around to see how we incorporate additional learning opportunities with these simple tasks!

    Love these ideas! And so easy to modify for all the different seasons!

      Yes! I'm always trying to get pretty versatile with the activities in terms of theme and also age that they can be used with 🥰

    Wooooow! How cool to see that you were able to implement the Montessori' s idea of integrated curriculum at home. Picking apples, tasting activity, sorting apples by taste, scrubbing the apples, cutting them, discovering the parts of apples, learning new vocabulary, baking apples.... It is just fabulous 👌. The rest of fall activities as usually so unique and creative. If Montessori teaches will bring those ideas to their classrooms, their students will be very happy to work with them. Phenomenal job, Maria and Stella! Way to go. 💖

      Isn't it amazing how much interest our kids can have in something, even at this young age?? And we get to rediscover such basic things like apples in a new light! Thank you, as always! 🥰

    All of your videos are so thorough and well put together. I know they take a lot of work so I wanted to be sure to let you know you're doing a great job both with the videos, but also adding your child to the adventure as well. :)

    This has helped us this past couple days and we have collected a lot of items that we can still use so thank you. I wish i could comment on all of ther activities but just know that i deeply appreciated this video and all your content especially now in this stage of development again so thank you. I am literally screenshotting everything and writing it down in my activities notes all the time we end up doing half of the activities at least within the next few weeks as following her abilities and i would be kinda lost without them tbh. Thank you very much lovely to see stella as always.
    I think going to charity zhops and the library and printing a lot more has helped.

    This is great. My 3 yr old cousin's favorite book is "Pumpkin Oh Pumpkin". It shows how the pumpkin seed grows into the pumpkin they want to paint for Autumn decorations. This video gives me ideas i can assist her in preparing for school.

    These are great ideas! We’ve done a couple with leaves and color matching, but I also have a very agile 10-month old on the loose that still puts everything in his mouth😓 it’s sometimes dangerous to do these fine motor skill activities with him on the loose since the small pieces will 100% end up in his mouth at some point😣 I’ve had to save activities with my toddler for only when the baby is napping, so we don’t get a lot of opportunity to do structured things like these

      Honestly, the ones with small pieces I don't keep on her shelf typically still! Even without a 10 month old around, but definitely if I were in your shoes! Out of abundance of caution, anything that's small enough to be a choking hazard, I still have only as an invitation when we are together, not independent work (or at the least when I'm in the room, if she wants to do it alone). I still have felt pumpkins from last year that I use for the independent works-I think I would be switching a lot of those small and glittery items for the soft, felt ones. And adding more tongs or posting variations to work on pincer grasp as shelf work. In addition to offering these during naptime.
      Honestly, I have so much respect for you in balancing the needs of both children. Their current ages are definitely not easy to balance and from what I would imagine it to be like, keeping those fine motor activities as an invitation for when the little one naps is the best case scenario!

    Hopefully there is still plenty of fall left where you are for you to incorporate some of these activities with your LO! Our fall was quite late and really sprung up on us overnight, so we have been enjoying incorporating these before winter is here! 🥰

    Hi. What is the name of the pumpkin book that was in the background of the tissue paper ripping - pumpkin making activity?

    Wow Stella is so advanced! My 23 month old can’t do any of this 😢

    • @MariaandMontessori
      @MariaandMontessori  ปีที่แล้ว

      Use these as inspiration and modify to fit your child's interests and skills! Stella was 27-28 months when we did these, so her skills are also more refined. But at 23 months, I'm thinking they can still partake in some apple scrubbing and tasting, or transferring, sensory bin, the sticker/paint/glue activities at their level, and some matching that, again, is at the level they're at!
